I belonged to a gun club for about 20 years that had strict rules, but not quite that bad.
It was mostly started for skeet shooting, but had a rifle and pistol range. A lot of the rules where due to a legal settlement with a douchebag lawyer that bought property nearby. He claimed rounds were hitting his house, so he sued. |

Fuck no most of what I own are semi autos.
They even shoot some of. Their Fudd brothers in the foot with that one. There are plenty of semi auto hunting rifles. |

I belonged to a good range for a quarter-century. Then the FUDDS took over and banned ANY ammunition with ANY steel content (including the case) 30 seconds in between shots, no drawing from a holster, no 50BMG, no pistols that fire rifle cartridges, no NFA items, no Shockwave-style firearms, no braced-pistols.
I ignored my next renewal notice. I have access to a small private range but I REALLY want to buy my own piece of shooting land. |

Well, #5 definitely enforces #1  #2 screams gun fudd or anti-gun state. #3 screams brass recycle whores. Surprised there's no rule prohibiting collecting brass. This has to be in an anti-gun state. Was at a trap range where they wanted barrels pointed at the ground at all times except when shooting. Worked fine for break action O/U or S/S, but all other shotguns it was dumb AF.

Sounds like a bunch of septuagenarians with bench rest rail guns who take themselves entirely too seriously.
I’ll bet you can find more liver spots at that range than pieces of uncollected loose brass on the ground... There’s a single shot rifle club near me like that. Guys sit there and LOAD the rounds on mobile reloading presses between strings of fire. I brought a DPMS 20” LR308 out there like a decade ago. Guys with panties in a wad made sure to all walk by and tell me I couldn’t have more than 1 round until eh mag at a a time and mutter things about couldn’t hit anything anyways. Popped open a box of factory 168gr FGMM and laid down some 1.5” groups at 200 yds. Those old DPMS plain unlined chromoly barrels were all f’ing tack drivers. |
