I have a good amount of their stuff, and genuinely do like what they make. This is a bit special, though.

You can write YETI on a piece of paper and sell it to a Yeti fan for $87.

I have a 2 coolers and couple of their cups that I like…

But yea, between this, the $40 bucket, and the $50 ice scoop, they’ve really jumped the shark.

Only $400, clearly it's better than the pile of Lodge stuff I have.

Add yeti logo to Lodge cast iron, throw in bag, scraper card, rag, charge $350 extra.

I can almost understand their coolers and cups because they do keep stuff colder, longer (Not long enough for me to buy, but my favorite drinking cup is a Yeti that was a gift, and that thing will still have ice in it after 24 hours....).but it's a cast Iron pan.  $40 at Walmart.

I love shit like this, because it levels the playing field.  Rich people spend 8x as much for the same thing, and my eggs and bacon taste just as good cooked in Lodge cast iron.

Actually, no. It appears that they’re being made by Butter Pat Industries:

Probably made in the same factory that makes Ozark Trail cast iron.

My neighbor has one of these.

It’s a bucket. I don’t get it at all.

But if I’m honest, that clear honeycomb lid is kinda nice. Not “I’ll buy one” nice, but nice.

I disagree. They’re just seeing what the market will bear. They pushed the boundaries with their cooler stuff but it was good and worked really well. Now, they’re pushing a lot. They risk pissing people off to the point that no one will even buy their quality products.

But, Starbucks is still in business…

On the other hand, if there's someone willing to spend the money and buy it, you can't really blame Yeti for capitalizing on that demand.

I agree with the others about Lodge, cheap at Walmart and made in the USA.  Have also picked up a few items at Goodwill and yard sales for cheap.
Even if I were filthy rich, I wouldn't pay $400 for a cast iron skillet.

You guys have it all wrong.  You just heat this up on your stove.  Then you toss it in your Yeti cooler and it stays frying hot for 12-18 hours.  No additional heat source needed!

At that price I certainly hope the fine people at Yeti are able to shove this over-priced abomination where the sun doesn't shine!
