1911. I like the smaller form factor of the PP, but blowback is dumb when the recoil from the 1911 isn't really any more stout. Might as well get 8 rounds of .45 and wear a bigger jacket.

Something "worked over" by the Texas gunsmith that built weapons for Dillinger& others. Think he was in Dallas.

I wanna see some of the folks in this thread try to "CCW" a fucking foot-long, 2 pound Smith Triple Lock, or a Broomhandle Mauser in shorts and a t-shirt

Carried a WW2 era 1911 to Iraq in '91 and it served me fine. That works for me.

Big, bulky, ridiculous 1000m tangent sight, surprisingly snappy in 7.63. |

I thought it became the Model 27 in 1939. S&W stopped the "Registered" part in 1939. For the period in between, it was just known as "The S&W .357 Magnum" |

If CC, 1911 in a shoulder holster or OWB under a jacket, as most men wore jackets or sportcoats in 1945. Otherwise a snubby revolver bellygun.

Not in a npe but it conceals well enough when I'm not at work. Attached File |

I used to carry a 1939 Dick Special by choice for many years.
I still carry that revolver when out in the woods. It aint's pretty but it shoots great. |

1911 since it’s what I carry now. As a back up piece or if concealment was an issue then a Colt 1908 or Detective Special.
