If we can take a minute to stop with the economic/inflation blame game I think we'd realize that neither party, or candidate has a viable solution to the problem.

It's great that Biden is in office and getting shellacked for inflation, as I would prefer a Trump victory this year. But I think people are kidding themselves if they think that a Trump 2020 victory would have made much of a difference in terms of where we are right now with the economy and inflation.

Trump is far better in international dealings and the border and that's about where it ends. If the masses would prefer to demonstrate a poor understanding of economics and give Trump credit....I'll take it if it means a 2024 victory.

Unlikely. Very Unlikely.  He would need to change the definition of income under the tax laws.  Virtually certain that would require legislation.  

Legislation would be tough to pass, given the current levels of spending and the resulting deficit.  

2020 included a promise, at one point, to eliminate employee payroll taxes.  Empty promise, with no discussion of the consequences on stuff like Medicare and social security.  

He needs to be more disciplined.  Come forward with an analysis and plan that shows how stuff like this could be accomplished, and it's impact.  Absent that, for many, it comes off as simply pandering or trying to buy votes.

I can’t wait to read more in-depth and critical analysis like this in the next 5 months.

That would be more an investment than a target group vote buy. The eventual resulting higher wages of those apprenticeships would likely offset much if not all of the cost.

I can't think of a single tax cut that wasn't targeted or qualified in some way.  Even "across the board" income tax rate reductions weren't evenly applied to the various brackets.

The tax code is supremely complex and I wish we'd make simpler and broadly sweeping changes rather than this targeted stuff, but that doesn't mean a tax cut is remotely the equivalent of a handout.

trump had massive tax cuts and still brought in 4 trillion extra in taxes because businesses could afford to expand.
