G-SDE w/ heavy spring
G SSA-E or SD-E for normal rifles, SSP in my competition/DMR stick.
For "duty" I like the ALG ACT.
I have a Larue MBT-2 SB in my SBR and think it's pretty good. |
What i have now and like all 3 for their purpose.
Geissele B-GRF Rapid Fire - on a AR9 race gun Timney 3lb AR-15 Competition Trigger - on a 3 gun AR with a low mass system. LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger - on a DMR ALG defense ACT - on my SBR If i still had a serious precision AR, i would want the G-SSAe. |
G SD3G in my go hard sbr, G SSAE in most of my others with the exception of a few Larue MBT triggers that I wanted to try out. The Larues aint bad... I think for the price point, they are an exceptional value with bombproof quality. I just really like the feel of the G triggers...

The LaRue MBT's are decent, hard to beat for the price.....the Aim SSTAT drop in's are great, priced right too.....I've heard they are made for Aim by Rise.

Larue MBT in the carbines.
Trigger tech in the precision rifles. |
Im partial to Timney's in general across all platforms they are consistent and solid.
But specifically for general AR service style builds the Bravo Company PNT works way better than it should for the price in my opinion. If your looking for bang for your buck in a 5.5lb trigger I would reccomend. |
Geissele Nat Match is epic.
Any hyper fire trigger with the dual coil springs. |

Quoted: From that trigger dingus thread https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/498555/Screenshot_20230717_093558_DuckDuckGo_jp-2888873.JPG View Quote My nephew has a couple of the Schmidts and they are very nice, especially for the price. I have two MBT-2S and they're also very nice. Better than the Schmidt, IMO. Neither are as good as my SSA or SSA-E, but the MBT-2S is "close enough" to the SSA that I'll probably buy them from now on, for the most part. It's hard not to buy SSAs when they're on sale for <$150. |
I put the Larue MBT in several of my rifles and like it but the Timney trigger in the 13inch Armalite 3 gun competition rifle I won a few years ago is the absolute cats meow!

On the AR's, I have one with a G SSA-E, and one with larues mbt-2s...I think the G is the superior trigger...On my ELR rifle, it has a trigger tech special, hopefully going to put a trigger tech diamond on it down the road a bit..
Geisselles in my gas guns, Triggertech Diamonds in my bolt guns.

I put a Timney trigger pack in my latest AR build. It's a nice crisp 1-stage trigger with virtually no takeup and little overtravel, and not outrageously expensive at under $130.
https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/rifle-parts/rifle-triggers-parts/ar-15-impact-trigger/?sku=883000156 I also have an MBT-2S in my older rifle and it's damn good for the money. For non-AR type, the "AcuTrigger" in my 65cm Savage bolt gun is fairly unique as a sort of quasi-2-stage adjustable trigger. Probably the worst trigger is in the Ruger 57 which is kind of crunchy and has some lateral play. |

Assuming we’re talking about ARs here.
All around use and best value: Larue MBT-2S Highest quality with the best feel for precision work in an AR: Geissele NM I avoid cartridge triggers for the most part, but did have a TriggerTech for awhile that was very light and crisp. I’m a 2-state fan, if you couldn’t tell. |
JP single stage triggers are great !!!
Light, crisp and fast. . |
I have a Geissele SSP curved bow on my CQB/tacticool AR which I shoot the most. So far, so good.
Favorites for me are G S3G/SD3G and their SSP.
Budget builds get Larue Occasionally I’ll go with Timney, as their triggers are always fantastic. |
The shitty milspec trigger made from recycled files in my first rack rifle (lolcivilianforcearms?)
Also a favorite for showing me just how much better they can be nowadays |
