I gave my '01 away to my cousin because i felt bad for her . Damn i miss that car.... my first: 1985 Chevy silverado 4x4 with a small block 400 me and my dad built, and silverado was a trim level back then Damn i love that truck. she is in the process of receiving a built 383 I've been working on for a while |

1989 Chevy Beretta 2.8L GT manual transmission
I bought it from a navy guy for $350. IIRC he was an engineer on a submarine or something like that. Hell of a guy though. He taught me right then and there how to drive a manual transmission. He did all the engine and transmission work himself and boy did that thing drive and shift nice. The car's paint and dash were beat to hell from the Hawaii sun but I didn't care. |

'84 Olds Firenza hatchback. It was my Aunt's car and had been smashed but not totalled. You could hardly open the passenger door and the rear lights were all taped. A dealer offer her $200 as a trade in and my mom happily said I would take it
I beat the everloving shit out it though. Probably went 20k miles between oil changes, and a lot of offroad time. |

1990 Nissan Maxima. The hole in the header made it sound like it had 3x the horsepower.

1984 Honda Accord. Ran like a top right up to when it (and I) suffered deceleration trauma inflicted by a stationary telephone pole. (or maybe the pole was travelling in excess of 50 MPH and my car was sitting still. Kinda fuzzy on the details from that one still.)

1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, handed down from my Dad (no pics, I'll have to get one from him some time, I'm sure he has one), small block 350, silver with "ox-blood red" landau roof and interior... great old car, didn't really appreciate it at the time, sure wish I had it back today.

1968 Olive green GTO. 400 cu, 4 BBL, turbo 400 tranny with a Hurst dual gate shifter
Body was solid, but I had to do a lot of mechanical work. Sadly, spent all my money in high school to get it going to where I wanted it, then sold it for a Harley in the early 90's before the car market went ape shit. I miss my goat. |

Quoted: Quoted: I'm trying to get my hands on one as a commuter car. I think they are a cool kind of ugly.Started with the family car, a 4dr Buick Lesabre, then had to buy a 1980'ish 2dr Chevy Chevette hatchback. Dear Lord I hated that thing, although the back seat was great for fooling around when the seats were down. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/parshooter/0902dp_08_z1982_chevy_chevetteleft__zps4a4809ea.jpg It would probably make a decent commuter. Best I remember, mileage was really good on 'em. Seems like my dad and I replaced the starter 2 or 3 times (rebuilt ones), but no other issues. Pretty easy to work on if need be. |

That was my 3rd car, but an '84. Got it for HS graduation in '88 from my uncle. It had all of 30K on it. It was a 2 tone maroon color. Freakin beautiful car. I actually have a recurring dream about still owning that car. Exact copy of her: |

1978 Chevrolet SWB 4x4 Bonanza
It was six years old when I bought it and it was already ragged out. I could replace the left outer spindle and bearings with my eyes closed and a 12 pack. Yea it was that bad. |
