I also thought pencil and lightweight were the same.

Pencil should be .625 full length. This delton barrel is "lightweight". It's .gov profile from the receiver to the gas block and pencil from the block to the muzzle. I like this profile as it gives a little more heat sink but takes away the weight where it's needed least.

Best is fluted medium contour. Followed closely by Hanson.

Lightweight is for weeklings, the infirm, little girls, obese(gotta cut weight somewhere) , and one of the new 65 sexes, or non-suppressed.

Seems that the barrel whip is more with pencil and POI vs POA change when hanging a suppressor on the end of your barrel.

HBAR, just seems like the manufacturer wanted to save money on lathe tooling and time.

My SBR has a govt profile. Gets run suppressed. Zero ragrets.

That's the only govt profile I own though. Everything else is contour, lw, or M4
