Definitely less "fun & friendship" than a decade ago.
 Used to go to monthly local meet ups at a bar or restaurant with other Arfcom members. We also had shoots & camp outs. Shot Matches & did training. Now it's mainly people tearing into each other over "Political / Politician" threads (which really should be in "Politics & Activism" instead of G.D.) Really miss a lot of the funny bastards who used to make those epic Arfcom threads of yore. Make Arfcom Great Again |

In my opinion it's because every single topic has become a team sport. Everyone has to choose a side and hate the other. You can't even remain indifferent because then both sides call you the enemy.
Beans vs no beans used to be funny because it was so outrageous for everyone to choose a side on such a trivial thing and debate, now every single thing Posted is that way. It's tiresome... Also, there is a lot of straight up trolling in GD. Not really sure staff knows what a troll is as I have seen them ban goof balls for trolling (Rogueboss fastbluer6) but angry vicious name calling trolls are aloud to operate freely. A whole fuck ton of straight up angry name calling in various threads lately. My 2 cent opinion, yours may vary, take it for what it's worth. |
