Quoted: If you had nudes on your phone, why on earth would you give it to ta stranger? View Quote I had my phone screen fixed last week. The guy asked for my pin number so they could do a function check on it. I was like, no the phone works fine, just need the screen replaced, thanks. The lady before me freely handed out her pin number |

Quoted: It's a pain in the ass but a good measure. My insurance company stopped sending the printed cards years ago so I always have to remember to print the latest ones every year. Registration is paper anyway. Airline tickets? App. Concert tickets? App. Go to a baseball game? App. Most of the time it's convenient, until it's not... View Quote My BIL had a rough time at Soldier Field because of the ticket app. Went to a Metallica show, I guess the place is a dead zone. No one could open the app to have the tickets scanned, so they didn't let folks inside. Had to walk around until he got a signal so he could open it. Ended up missing Pantera over the whole deal, which he really wanted to see. He said he thought folks were gonna riot. |

Quoted: Tennessee checks it. Drive Insured Tennessee You have to show proof of insurance to register your vehicle. Unless you're in Memphis.. then you make a fake temporary tag and don't get insurance because it's rayciss and it's rayciss for the police to pull you over for it. View Quote The residents of north county are too smart to fall for that. They just don't register their cars. It's really weird how many have 2yr old temp tags or nothing at all. |

Where's all these women with the naked pictures?
My wife walks into our bedroom from the bathroom to get a bra covering her titties like she's got nuclear launch codes written on them. |

No issues or tickets yet Reg/Ins in TX was all verifiable from the plate for sure. At least ~10 years ago I had a cop not want to wait for me to unload a bike to get under the seat, and just asked me to verify my address, and told me to slow down. Pretty sure you are supposed to carry "proof" which isn't defined as paper. Guessing you could memorize the policy number? I like paper. |

Quoted: cop steals nudes from phone. Woman handed her phone to a cop on a traffic stop to show proof of insurance. He takes it back to his car and steals nudes. Lucky he stopped there. With saved passwords he could of done a lot more. Open your browser and make a huge order on Amazon. Delivered to a vacant address. Seems like just taking the ticket is better than handing unlocked phone to anyone. View Quote |

Same reason I don’t use digital game tags.
This is probably much more common than you would think. …. All in terms of general fishing expeditions. Abuse of power is the norm, not the exception. |

If I had one of those Thanos gloves that would make all the cellphones suddenly disappear, I'd be sorely tempted.
I'd almost do it just for the lulz of those first few hours of "WTF?" |

Not the first time. Handing your unlocked phone to any stranger for any reason is retarded.

Never hand your unlocked phone to law enforcement. They want in it? Tell em to go get a goddamn warrant then.
Also, never use biometrics to open the phone, passcode only. |

Where’s that poster that just the other day was saying all police don’t have to earn respect and they are owed it?
Forget the lawsuit, officer should be in jail. Hopefully that’s what the FBI is aiming to do. |

I thought when your tags are ran, they can tell if your insurance and registration is valid?
Am I wrong in thinking that? |

There is a reason states are pushing digital ID.
You then have to unlock your phone and hand it to the man, voluntarily surrendering your right to privacy. They can look through all of it. |

Quoted: Some states have insurance data on the NCIC return, others do not. It's not always accurate either. View Quote My wife got stopped in my pickup one day and the cop yelled at her for not having had insurance since 2011 (this was 2017). She found her POI and he wrote her a ticket for holding her phone. I told her next time hold it lower. |

Quoted: Another day and another damn POS worthless bad apple. Utterly amazing how many bad apples there are in Law enforcement. View Quote There are 708,000 full time police officers in the United States, plus a shit load of reserves and part time. If only 1% are bad apples that is more than 7,000 bad cops. It is not surprising that we hear about bad cops regularly, especially when Internet algorithms choose the news you receive. One of the communist's goals was to destroy the American people's faith in their institutions. Do you ever wonder why certain posters and internet algorithms feed you a barrage of this stuff? |
