Parris Island, 1982. We were all formed up for our Company Commanders inspection, when one of the D.I.'s for another platoon went into our head, took a shit, and didn't flush. It was a practical joke played by one D.I., on another, but our D.I. took it as an excuse to smoke the fuck out of us.

Our RDC(DI) found a unlocked "A" locker in the coffin bunks.  He pulled it out and threw it across the div bay.  He preceded to go around and check all the other lockers if yours wasn't locked he threw it out too.  There were about 10-15 lockers pitched access the bay that day.

We had a DS find out that guys weren't locking their lockers and just making it look like they were locked to cut down on time. DSs decided that they would get all of the locks that weren't locked and switch them around while to recruits were training, after getting back they told them had 10mins to get showered and changed. Of course hilarity ensued.

ETA: Craziest shit i saw was my Battle Buddy tring to sneak a nap in his wall locker.  DS found him and locked him in there, for 12 hours.

Watched a DI throw an entire rack (mattress, pillow, sheets, covers and all) out of a 3rd story window because sheet wasn't folded at exactly 6 inches.  One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

That was a weekly game. It's called Mt. Suribachi by us Jarheads.

If one is found unlocked, or even if all are secured, everyones are all dumped in the center of the squad bay, and then the platoon marched over the pile.
Two min countdown is given to get all the shit back into the footlockers. Failure means the whole platoon gets thrashed until D.I. is tired.

Repeat. Until deck is clear and everyones shit is locked in somebodys footlocker.

Items belonging to others are sorted out after lights out, so it pays to have marked your shit real well.

3-4 days in a row means you learn to function through the fog of no sleep, and to keep the platoon shitbirds tuned up.

If really pissed, the pile is created down three flights of stairs and a couple hundred yards onto the grinder, then footlockers returned to the proper location in the squad bay.
It's best to designate trail cleaners and scoopers, or a single Q-tip will be found, and it's on like Donkey Kong all over again.

I ended up having to replace half my shit as soon as I graduated, because we played Mt Suribachi two days before graduation, "for old times sake", and nobody had time to get all thier shit sorted back out.

Good times!
