WTF if you are going to advertise it comes with a mlok mount, try to make it universal.  Because of the angle, it does not work with MOE AR15 furniture...

MOE > Olight chinese crap

MOE handguards are legitimate Mlok.  Olight is apparently counterfeit, not true Mlok compatible.

All your other mlok attachments work with that moe handguard though?

Magpul used to make an moe that used proprietary mounting hardware, I'm 99% sure. Looks like mlok, but isn't.

Magpul MOE does not automatically equal M-LOK. Start there.

While that sounds fun, I should have broke out this pistol build to realize the director of the angle and it not working. This MOE handguard does have the Mlok logo and is just before the PSA panic buying.

I just received a new in package PSA MOE M4 Carbine build kit.

I don't know why my MLOK rail won't attach to the MOE stock.

If they just said "I bought a cheap piece of shit light because its all I can afford" I'd high five them.

But, when they start with the mental gymnastics about how its "just as good" I have to make sure my eyes don't roll out of my head.

Mlok and MOE are not the same. IIRC Magpul is still making the MOE light mount kit that they originally designed for the ACR with the basic handguard.

Most people who still use them have Mlok handguards on their ACRs though

Ever wonder why SureFire lights only say "Designed and Built in the USA" and not Made in the USA??? Boy you're gonna be pissed when you find out where all their components come from.

Be cautious purchasing MLOK MOE handguards if you see the packaging has already been opened.

I ordered a new MLOK Magpul handguard from a well-respected vender to upgrade from the original 1st-gen MOE I bought years ago.

I received an MLOK product box that had been previously opened. Inside was a handguard with MOE slots.

Someone had apparently ordered the new MLOK handguard from the vender, put their old MOE handguard back inside the packaging, and then probably returned the package to the vender for a refund. Slick little scam that would be very tough to catch.

It wasn't the vender's fault, so I ended up just ordering another handguard and kept the MOE as a freebie giveaway in case I ran across someone in need of an upgrade.

I try and do my best.  Unfortunately there are not many electrical components made in the US anymore.

It is still better than buying 100% china junk

The build quality of my Surefires and Modlites are SOOO much better than a Streamlight or Olight

JuSt As GoOd!

And what do the solder joints look like? How are the electronics potted? What's their QC like?

Chinese slave labor isn't up to par with US labor, even if it is just assembly.

Yep.

Seems like this is a completely different issue.

Moe-vs-Mlok aside (he already established it IS the later Mlok verson of the MOE).

And Olight aside as well...

I figure even if he bought a non-olight mount that works similarly, (like the Travis Haley brand one), it still wouldn't work with the MOE handguards.

So basically any light mount meant to keep a light really tight against and AL M-Lok handguard will not work with a MOE.

Okay.  I'll take peoples' word for it.  Just looking at the OG MOE profile, it does not look like it would play well with tightly angled mount.

It works you just have to flip the cams over and use a needle nose to hold them while tightening. Best to take off the locktite first.

Did this with an 870 moe handguard and an mlok pic rail.

Good info.

I can see how a 45 degree mlok light mount isn't going to fit MOE handguard, those 2 things are not made with each other in mind. Incompatible
