I see I'm not the only one looking for a delisle.  Special Interest arms sells them along with nice enfield .45acp converts with modern components that accept your .45 suppressor but I cant get the guy to give me a price. I just want to buy a damn rifle.

I actually have 2 Artilleries with matching shoulder boards and drums. I still want a 1902 Luger carbine, but don't want to wrap that much money up in one gun.

A Smith and Wesson K-22 made the year I was born,1957. Next on the list would be a shoter grade Registered Magnum. I believe I stand a far better chance of obtaining the former ratherthan the latter.

Full auto kulsprutegevär M/37 (BAR chambered for 6.5x55mm).

This one sold at an auction last year for equal to roughly $500 USD. The reason for the low price is that it's very difficult to get a license for full autos over here.

Hmm.  I dunno.

Gonna have to go with the Schmidt-Rubin K31.  Although I might be getting one soon, so I guess that doesn't count.

When it comes to modern bolt action rifles, my experience is that they are not more accurate than the old stuff, and they usually kick the living hell out of you.  A German K98 8mm Mauser shooting 180+ grain bullets has less felt recoil than a Savage 110 30-06 shooting 110gr varmint bullets.  The Schmidt-Rubin's standard military load is 174gr FMJ at 2720 feet per second.  This load has less felt recoil than a modern bolt action shooting any 308 Winchester load you care to name.  It ain't much more recoil than is felt from a modern rifle in .243 Winchester.  The bolt on the K31 is damned near an inch diameter made of solid nickel steel.  It's harder than HELL, and will never wear out, at least not before I do.

This isn't to say modern bolt action rifles aren't good rifles...they are.  But the old stuff really is made better.  With the exception of the Schmidt Rubin, Mauser perfected the bolt action rifle with K98, and everything since then has been an inferior imitation.

Now, the thread did say "somewhat affordable but can't attain any time soon".  Within that strict definition, I'm going to say a fully tricked out 1911, probably one of Ned Christiansen's fine pistols.

ETA: Schmidt Rubin pr0n:

DTA SRS setup for .308 and .338 Lapua magnum. Very compact, long range weapon. I'm already setup to load for both calibers and know what they're capable of.

Would also like a LWRC REPR in .308. I think I'd prefer a 18" barrel or maybe a 16". Would run suppressed.
