Say hi to my Grandfather-in-law.  He is 101st 506th PIR 3rd Btn. S3 and will be there in Holland.

Far left, Bill Galbraith.

You can see some video of him discussing the war at http://www.theforgottenbattalion.com/

Do you know what particular events he is going to/part of?  There are 4-5 days of events going on in the whole country..the Polish/British event itself is going to be 20,000 in attendance.

He was part of the liberation of Eindhoven, so i'd guess he would be somewhere around there.

At one point I was a pink panther in baggy pants :P...figure that one out.

Other units had a tendency to paint our panther...pink. Go figure ;)

Oh I'm definitely proud of the Marines.  It is simply amazing that so many of them have figured out how to use those complex TV-typewriters to put words on the internet.

And don't get me started on the hundred and worst airborne...

One of my best friends was an All-American.  While I was learning to make TV words, he was jumping out of fully-functional C-130s and C-141s.

The wisdom of volunteering for that aside, my hat's off to him and the rest of the 82nd.  Takes some serious onions to do that.

I enjoy ripping on the Marines because they seem to be one of the few groups who will dish it right back at you in good humor.

Here's an oldy but a goody:

Jump School Class Schedule
Week 1: Seperate the men from the boys.
Week 2: Seperate the men from the fools.
Week 3: The fools jump out of airplanes.
