Selling your guns to a buyback because you feel criminals have too many firearms, is like getting yourself castrated because you feel the neighbors have too many children.

I overheard an employee talking about dealing with a customer who wanted to put these recent drops on layaway. He was throwing a fit, and they told him they were discontinued in that store so they were not eligible for layaway.
Not sure if other stores will be that strict. |

Will guns still continue to drop I’d you get the last one at that store and put it on layaway and they to the last drOp at other stores?

Originally Posted By tidal: it was a dept manager I spoke with. I asked if it was a NICS hold and they said no its "reserved" View Quote I would ask for the store manager, or call corporate. Again, be polite, but I'd definitely push a bit. They've now acknowledged it's there, and it's not on NICS hold. There is no "reserving" guns, or we'd all call and "reserve" every clearance gun as soon as the price drops start. |

ill be going back and trying when their shift is over. I got an ear full from them on a miscommunication on another product I was checking on, that's a different story and I was being polite. This manager has checked me out in the past and done their job on point. I think they were having a bad day. I didn't want to push it but ill be heading back later. just wanted to confirm the "reservation" bs

He filled out the 4473 form, and the background check. They pulled out all three guns check the serial numbers. He then paid for the guns. 4473 completed. Everything was all good for the 3-day wait. He went back 5 days later. Two guns are gone and they're saying they have been sold. He told the manager to figure it out. Even if they have to get regular price guns to make it right. He says he expects to guns of equal value for the same price. And a letter from Walmart stating those serial numbers are no longer in his name in case something happens. If this does not happen he will be contacting Walmart corporate and the ATF and Reporting the guns stolen. Don't know if the ATF is an empty threat. He has a photocopy of the 4473 form showing all three serial numbers. Just to be clear they were paid and everything was complete except for the 3-day wait. Any advice And just another clarification. The guns were there five days ago when he paid View Quote Updated: Walmart came to the game. They replaced the missing savage guns with a mossberg 6.5 and rem 700 30-06. Hard work. The terms were 50% down with full payment due Oct 1,2020. Not much of a layaway term. Firearms were the only items besides jewelry that Walmart will layaway this year - that according to Corporate, and it may also be up to the SM discretion. |

I’ve got a list here, but sadly I don’t know how to put the name in the link. Some have been posted before, if not all of them. But, time to check on them again. These are all at one store and dropped today. Varying degrees of price reduction.

What about the serial numbers still being registered to him? Still to this day we don't know exactly what happened. But he does have a copy of the forms that show those numbers have been removed from him. Walmart actually took this extremely serious. Walmart corporate was involved . They did try a couple times to just give a gift card or a refund. My father pushed on it. My guess is this was not just your normal things happen type thing. Either way my dad did fine other than his time. |
