Anybody using one of these? I water metal detect, but only standing in up to chest deep water. I have some areas that I would like to detect that are all in less than 15’ of water. The system below is an example of what I’m looking at. Attached File Attached File Here’s another one Hookahmax 12v I also have two friends who also want to detect underwater, but the systems say that only two divers maximum can use the system at a time, at the following depths; • Allows 1 diver past 60 feet and 2 past 30 feet So, one question I have is since we’ll be diving at less than 15’ can you extrapolate those numbers to one more diver? 3 divers at less than 15’? |

I would suggest contacting the mfg. for the 2 you link. If you are just in a shallow pool doing nothing...it will likely work. If all of you are working air delivery would be lacking. CFM and reserve tank size are crirical. I know of only one electric hookah that is factory recommended for what you want and then some. But you will pay. Brownies I sold a few of these as well as the gas powered units..well built. Also sold a lot of tank hookah systems...but logistics of fills can be a problem if you are remote. |

Thanks for the info and the link. You’re right, it’s pricey. I see that there is an “add a diver” kit that allows the system to be used by 4 divers, but I can’t find a description of the add a diver kit on the site, so I don’t know what it adds. Maybe, I could do my own “add a diver” kit to the Hookamax, if I knew what I had to add? I’ll call the manufacturer, as you suggested. |
