Most he can get is 20 years on each count, and the judge can possibly run each sentence consecutively. That may or may not happen.

Probably an illegal also.

Did Eduardo have a driver's license and insurance? 🤔 Was he a US citizen? 🤔🤔
This is the kind of information that should be included in news stories. |

I'd like to know how fast he was going and the vehicles involved. |

Most likely an illegal without license or insurance.

FORT WORTH, Texas (WKRC) - The driver of a Camaro was arrested after an alleged DWI crash left five people dead Monday. According to WFAA,19-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez was taken into custody after the Camaro he was driving slammed into back of another car, killing all five people inside. The crash occurred on I-35 westbound in Forth Worth, Texas. Authorities told WFAA that Gonzalez was speeding when he drove onto the northbound exit ramp and rear-ended the sedan. Investigators told the station that the sedan was so badly burned that they were unable to tell how old the victims were.An ambulance crew told WFAA that three adults and two children had been traveling in the sedan. "I can only imagine that it was a very traumatic scene," an officer told the station. When speaking with WFAA's reporters, officers said there were "clues" found inside Gonzalez's Camaro that indicated that he had been drinking, with detectives noticing "patterns" during an interview that led them to believe he had been drinking prior to the crash. According to WFAA, Gonzalez was taken to the hospital with minor injuries before being released to authorities. He is now in jail, facing DWI charges, along with five counts of intoxication manslaughter, per the outlet. |

Police spokesperson makes it point to say "once the accident report is completed, they'll have more information about his residency, legal status, and things like that..." Doesn't look like he hit the car at 120 mph. I would expect a lot more damage at that kind of speed. |

After owning a towing co for 30 years I have seen a lot of DUI crashes. Always seems if anyone lives it's the drunk driver. Some of these crashes are very tragic. A young high school aged scholar with excellent grades, sports star, or a family completely wiped out. Lives snuffed out by a horrible decision. It effects many people beyond the immediate family. sad
