I've seen some glock printed lowers that look like melted crayons. Some look really good. I guess it's in the material used and experience level of the person doing it.
I've never used a 3d printer, so I have no idea. |

Because most people start with existing metal designs and scab on more plastic at the stress points.
Then there’s the fact that many don’t bother to dial in their printer settings well enough to make strong parts. |

I watched a Vice News doc on these a few weeks ago. I think there's a beauty to the ingenuity.
The guys leading the field seem similar to the nerds that used to tinker with computers 40 years ago. Don't be surprised if the next major advancement in firearms tech comes from someone's 3D printer. |
