May be late to the party, but recently ran across PTFE tubing with 3mm ID & 4mm OD.  Bought a coil & replaced all my reverse bowden tubing (Xmax3 & AD5M). Noticably less drag, works with existing fittings.

Tubing where the filament is being pulled through rather than pushed through. Generally the term used for the feed line to a direct extruder.

I replaced all mine with 2.5mm ID tubing.

The Capricorn small diameter tubing does no good for direct drive systems.

I noticed on my XPlus3 I started getting random under extrusions and it was the Capricorn tubing getting narrower at the end of the connector into the toolhead. This fixed my issue.

I converted my MMU2/MMU3 to this tubing on recommendation of Chris's basement video on the MMU2.

It works well and aids in reliability of the MMU system specifically but I've found that the cheaper mfg tubing seems to wear out super fast. I burned through several sets from Amazon and eBay. Never found a set that would last more than about 2 thousand hours.
