Dash and door panels came in. Initial quality seems good. It has a Dash Direct labeled instructions. But I don’t think I’ll be happy with the color so Ive decided to return and go with a Black interior. I also watched the LMC instal videos and they used Black and it looks really good.

Installing new Retro Sounds stereo and cleaning up some of the wiring under the dash. Looks bad but it’s actually going to end up really clean and organized. Im anal and I heat shrink every connection and zip tie/bundle the wires every 2 inches. Thanks Kells81 for the response on PM. (The shop left some wires for the new instrument panel off and I had to figure it out)

How was the door panel install? Pretty simple I gather. My old girl's door panels are faded and oxidized and I was looking at LMC Truck's door panels. Attached File Unlike you I left my K5 at my mechanic. I don't have the tools or the time (or the arms because of shoulder surgery) to do a lot of the work. He's gone over the engine and drivetrain - it only has 57k miles so it was mostly just fluids and a tuneup. Also new suspension and an LMC 31 gallon talk to replace the stock 24. I need to get the A/C topped off and some new tires and she's good to go. |
