I do not see all smaller cities and rural jurisdictions in the south writing and enforcing local ordinances for something like that. The increased demand on utilities without the increased development to tax/pay for it would be suicide. The fed may subsidize more housing in smaller cities, which isn't great, but it's not forced quartering. I think the issue of forced co-living is more of a big city specific issue moving forward. Even if the fed promised tons of grant money in place of lost tax revenue for smaller jurisdictions, there will be many places that reject it. I'd do what I could to speak out against it at the small city I work for and majority of the folks in the planning and zoning department and some in admin would be right there with me. |

With 4 of them hitting us at the same time there is a chance that it takes out chunks of the power grid like a EMP does. Keep your eye on the news even they should be reporting on this soon. I’ve never seen such widespread animosity of members towards each other in all my years here than right now. The common values found here when I first started lurking, becoming a member and then a paying member are not so common anymore. I used to often see members refer to us as a community. I really can’t say I see that term mentioned much here anymore. |

Holy cow!! Sounds like this thing’s going to have a death toll attributed to it regardless. The increase in severity of storms and tornadoes from what we’re currently experiencing is downright alarming. Some of the more notable tornadoes in history have occurred during the second half of May as well. Doesn’t sound good at all. |
