The covid lockdown showed socialist leaders just how much they could control the population of their countries with the support of all those who blindly followed in lockstep without ever questioning those in power. They do not want to lose that power and will try to keep it forever by any means at their disposal.

After she apologized for the gov firing people over the wuflu shot, she announced she will not comply with Castro Jr's dictates... "When Ottawa announces policies and laws that attack our economy or violate the rights of our people...our UCP government will not enforce those laws and policies in this province, period."

My question is, how is that POS (Castro) still in office?

Copper faces long-term shortage as demand outruns supply

The copper market may swing to a deficit by the end of the decade as the energy transition accelerates and the metal becomes harder to dig up, according to the world’s top miner.

Although there are enough reserves of copper, and other metals like nickel and lithium central to decarbonization, the risk is there will be “a mismatch between the timing of increase in demand and when supply meets that demand,” Mike Henry, chief executive officer of BHP Group Ltd., said at a Financial Times mining conference in London on Friday.

Henry’s comments come after a torrid few months for copper, a barometer of economic activity because of its varied applications from construction to electricity transmission. While miners and banks are almost uniformly bullish on the metal’s long-term prospects because of its role in clean energy, prices have dropped by about 30% from the record high hit in March as growth has faltered in the face of rising interest rates.

Henry said the market will be in “a little bit oversupply” in the next few years, before tightening up toward the end of the decade as more easily accessible, richer seams of the metal become difficult to find and mining becomes more complicated.

“There are more issues that need to be addressed in terms of water management, community engagement, broader environmental permitting,” he said. “These things are taking longer. They are more complex.”

On Thursday at the conference, Kosta Bintas, co-head of metals and minerals trading at Trafigura Group, said the energy transition and tight supplies will drive a rebound in copper prices, with stockpiles set to shrink to less than three days of global consumption at the end of the year.

Richard Adkerson, chief executive officer of miner Freeport-McMoRan Inc. said that copper prices don’t reflect a “strikingly tight” physical market.

Iran Is Conducting “Massive” Military Drills On The Azerbaijan Border

Iran’s military is conducting large-scale military drills on its border with Azerbaijan, including practicing crossings of the Aras River, which defines a large part of the border between the two states.

The exercises, called “Mighty Iran,” began on October 17. The exact location has not been specified, but Iranian media placed them in between Iran’s provinces of Ardabil and East Azerbaijan, the part of Iran across the Aras from Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli region. One expert on open-source intelligence, however, analyzed photos of the pontoon crossing and placed it across from Azerbaijan's exclave of Nakhchivan.

The drills come as Iran has been stepping up its diplomatic warnings to Baku about Azerbaijan’s intentions for a new transport link connecting Azerbaijan’s exclave of Nakhchivan with the Azerbaijani mainland, a route that Baku calls the “Zangezur corridor.” The route would pass along Armenia’s border with Iran, with uncertain consequences for Armenia-Iran commerce.

"Iran will not permit the blockage of its connection route with Armenia, and in order to secure that objective the Islamic Republic of Iran also launched a wargame in that region," Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in an October 19 interview with the IRNA news agency. Amir-Abdollahian was planning to visit Armenia on October 20 to officially open Iran’s new consulate in Kapan, in the flashpoint province of Syunik, which borders Azerbaijan and Iran, Armenia's foreign ministry reported.

Iranian media have described the exercises as “massive.” Photos have depicted lengthy rows of tanks and multiple-launch rocket systems. Military officials say the forces in the drills have practiced simulations of airborne landings, as well as the use of suicide drones of the type that Russia recently debuted in Ukraine.

I find it ironic that while growing up in the 70s and into the 80s, "The Mark of the Beast" was constantly warned about by churches, religious leaders and authors to the point of even going after and attacking any secular mentions of "The Mark of the Beast" as if they were promoting it.  I think everyone knows what I'm referring to. . I even remember it continuing into the 90's.  The feeling was that was just around the corner.  Everything seemed to be the Mark of the Beast, even if it didn't exactly fit and make sense at the time.

Now, here we are today when we can actually see technology & platforms that are able to make it a reality.  All that is basically left is the forced control to make everyone comply, we see that the vast majority of churches, religious leaders & authors are not only silent but many actually supporting of the mandatory vaccinations, mass coercion & even silencing of the population.  This was even touched on in the podcast that I just posted.

Only a very few that I've noticed are making the correlation today.  Just my observations, anyway.

They think about it but the vast majority are terrified of being made fun of and believing in that old fairy tale. And yet.............even 50 years ago, much less thousands of years ago, who could have predicted the technology to actually be able to make it work?

And yet.............here we are, and a huge number of people would welcome it to begin with and once accepted, you're SOL.

Remember when the talk of Civil War in America  was considered crazy talk.  Maybe it still is?

Several governments in Europe are expected to fall, so who knows?

Interesting points raised in this video...

- Candles, Blankets, Hot Water Bottles are selling out across the UK.

- Nov. 4, the Bank of England is scheduled to raid the interest rates.

- Civil War talk begins in the last 30 minutes with the meat of the discussion in the last 15 - 20 minutes, based of the feedback from a couple of cops he knows, increase in crime and rise in stress levels across the population and general money problems that are happening now and will only get worse throughout the winter into 2023.

And Wald notes "even though China is Saudi Arabia's most important customer, it cannot replace the military and diplomatic role the U.S. plays in the Middle East and specifically in ensuring Saudi security."

Wanna bet?

Saudis plot energy cooperation with China amid tensions with Biden

Saudi Arabia's energy minister held on Friday a virtual meeting with his Chinese counterpart to discuss cooperation in the global oil market and on nuclear energy, the Saudi state news agency said.

Why it matters: The meeting comes amid a deep crisis between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia over the Saudi-led OPEC+ decision earlier this month to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day starting in November, despite Biden administration requests not to cut output.

In response to the decision, the Biden administration announced it is re-evaluating its relationship with Saudi Arabia.

Driving the news: The Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held a video conference call with China’s National Energy Administrator Zhang Jianhua today. One of the key issues discussed was the oil market.

Details: According to the Saudi state news agency, the ministers “confirmed their willingness to work together to support the stability of the international oil market” and stressed the need for “long-term and reliable oil supply to stabilize global market that endures various uncertainties due to complex and changeable international situations."

The ministers also discussed cooperation and joint investments in countries that China sees as part of its strategic “Belt and Road” vision. The development projects discussed by Biden during his trip to Saudi Arabia were supposed to be a counterweight to China’s plan in the region.

They also discussed continuing to implement an agreement between China and Saudi Arabia about peaceful uses of nuclear energy. One of the arguments of the Trump administration for cooperation with Saudi Arabia on nuclear energy was to prevent Saudi-Chinese cooperation on the issue.
The ministers also discussed cooperation in the fields of electricity, renewable energy and clean hydrogen, topics also discussed during Biden’s trip to
Saudi Arabia.

Between the lines: "The statement that Saudi Arabia and China are committed to strengthening their cooperation in the energy sphere is a clear rebuke aimed at Washington," oil analyst Ellen Wald, president of Transversal Consulting, tells Axios via email.

Wald notes Saudi Arabia is often China's largest oil supplier and Saudi Aramco, the state oil giant, also has multiple joint ventures with Chinese companies in refining and petrochemicals.

"This statement doesn't indicate any new policies, but is designed to remind the Biden administration that Saudi Arabia has other important energy relationships and that Saudi oil policy does not come from Washington — it comes from Riyadh," she said.

The big picture: White House officials stressed ahead, during and after Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia last July that one of the administration's goals was to maintain U.S. leadership in the Middle East and prevent China and Russia from gaining influence.

Yes, but: Oil analyst Bob McNally, president of Rapidan Energy Group, cautions against reading too much into the Saudi-China meeting and statement.

He noted in an email exchange with Axios that Saudi Arabia, China and other actors are all bracing for turmoil in oil flows and prices "arising from the clash between looming recession and geopolitical disruption risks."

"Their bilateral relationship has been deepening for years and not too surprising that they're exchanging compliments and vowing to work together during these unusually volatile and risky times," said McNally, who was a senior energy aide in the George W. Bush White House.

And Wald notes "even though China is Saudi Arabia's most important customer, it cannot replace the military and diplomatic role the U.S. plays in the Middle East and specifically in ensuring Saudi security."

This seems suspect to me. The Wisconsin river, and the Mississippi are as about as full as they normally are this year.  A lot of water would need to be disappearing very quickly before MO would have that much gone. It may be the case, and it's easy enough to verify but that photo looks like china right now not the US.

There would be lots more talk than just what CNN is saying about it, if it was as bad as they imply.

You are wrong.  The Mississippi River is low even by Lacrosse WI it’s low.  The reason the upper portions of the Mississippi have as much water in them as they do is because the dams are holding that water back in the pools.  Cargill in Lacrosse that ships a vast amount of grain that comes from Wisconsin and Minnesota isn’t taking as much grain and are paying much less for it do to the fact they are having a hard time getting barge’s down south.  The Mississippi is extremely low down south and it’s bad.  I send over a million dollars of grain down that river so I have a vested interest in knowing how the barge traffic is.

The Corp of Engineers has massively messed this up by mismanaging  the water levels.  Most of this problem is man made and now will need a lot of rain to correct it.

Sounds like a new “Dust Bowl” era.

The thing I don’t get is that climate change has to be man made. Well it doesn’t. The ice age is gone and it has significantly warmed since then. And only a small fraction of that time involved industrial mankind. I believe in climate change. It’s been the only “constant.” If we have a solar minimum for the next thousand years our elite will be telling us how to fix it.  And it would be way worse for food production than global warming.

The Corp kept the water levels in the upper portions of the river low using the lock and dams. Instead of holding water back in these pools earlier in the year they let the levels get low. So now they can’t release extra water to help with the water levels down south.  Also the river is not dredged to its correct depth, which is adding to the issue.  Another problem is that the lock and dams were built in the 1930’s and many need to be replaced.

Funding for the river’s infrastructure has been underfunded.

Now we need lots of rain.

A quick discussion of The Great Famine from 1315 to 1317.  Wikipedia

This happened a long time ago, but I thought it was interesting because of the resulting side effects.

The famine caused many deaths over an extended number of years and marked a clear end to the period of growth and prosperity from the 11th to the 13th centuries.[2]

The Great Famine started with bad weather in spring 1315. Crop failures lasted through 1316 until the summer harvest in 1317, and Europe did not fully recover until 1322. Crop failures were not the only problem; cattle disease caused sheep and cattle numbers to fall as much as 80%. The period was marked by extreme levels of crime, disease, mass death, and even cannibalism and infanticide. The crisis had consequences for the Church, state, European society, and for future calamities to follow in the 14th century.

Regarding cannibalism, that sounds far fetched.  But there were cases of that in Leningrad during the Second World War, documented in the book "900 Days" during the Nazi siege of Leningrad.  In that instance, a few horrible criminals would pull frozen corpses from the snow drifts, thaw them out, and carve them up.  Not only did they partake themselves, but they sold their excess labeled as "horse meat."  Did the customers know?  Many of them suspected, but they were so close to starvation, many were willing to eat it even with their doubts as long as they could tell themselves it was horse meat.  Many more refused.  One potential customer was almost lured to his death for his meat, but was suspicious enough to escape their clutches.  As it happened, some police were just passing as he tumbled into the street and that gang was arrested, and, most likely, executed.

World’s Largest Steel Manufacturer Warns of Crisis as Plants Shut Down

The CEO of the world’s largest steel manufacturer has issued a grim warning as plants continue to shut down amid the mounting energy crisis.

Reiner Blaschek, the CEO of ArcelorMittal Germany, warns that the German wing of the company can no longer compete due to soaring energy costs.

The energy crisis in Germany is turning into a manufacturing crisis, Blaschek warns.

Blaschek is raising the alarm after ArcelorMittal was forced to recently shut down two key plants in the country.

“Production in Germany is currently no longer competitive,” said Blaschek.

“We need competitive energy prices for industry,” he added.

Blaschek’s calls for quick political intervention come as energy costs soar in Europe.

Gas and electricity prices, which have soared in recent months due to sanctions and Russia’s decision to cut gas flows, have left many industrial companies with input costs too high to remain profitable.

Many economic experts are forecasting further pain for Germany’s core industrial sector, which would have knock-on effects for the rest of the German economy.

At ArcelorMittal’s steel plant at the port of Hamburg, workers are coordinating production to ensure it does not interfere with peak electrical loads — seen during the morning and evening — for residents in the city of Hamburg.

The Hamburg steel plant consumes an enormous amount of energy.

For example, one of the smelters that make crude iron uses 76,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity in just one hour.

The power usage is the equivalent of half a million televisions, according to the German newspaper Die Welt.

“We have the gas needs of the city of Lübeck and the electricity needs of Kiel,” said Ansgar Jüchter, an engineer at the plant.

With electricity prices skyrocketing, suddenly the plant is at the mercy of the markets.

It is not just about coordinating around peak electricity usage, but also around the weather.

The plant can now only afford to produce steel when there is enough solar power and wind energy flowing on the grid.

However, the plant also consumes huge amounts of natural gas, and in that regard, the situation is even worse.

The plant produces sponge iron inside a 60-meter tower, and the key ingredients for its production are iron ore and gas.

Starting on October 1, the plant stopped producing this key ingredient for the steel industry until further notice.

In addition to the plant reductions in Hamburg, ArcelorMittal will shut down a blast furnace at its Bremen site at the end of the month.

The move has made headlines as the steel giant is the first large industrial group to shut down production in Germany due to the energy crisis.

The case shows how quickly problems at a key company can shake entire supply chains.

The steel from the Hamburg plant is used in the production of machines, cars, and ships, as well as in bridges, buildings, power plants, and pipelines.

With prices continuing to climb, it is not only the steel industry at risk, but a domino effect could bring large parts of Germany’s industry offline, according to Blaschek.

“Other industrial sectors are also having major problems,” the ArcelorMittal CEO said.

Figures from the Steel Industry Association show how dire the situation is.

According to the association, the additional energy costs this year will top €10 billion, which equals a quarter of the average annual turnover in the German steel industry.

German companies are increasingly unable to access energy supplies on the market, with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) warning that the German economy will simply stop running if energy supplies dry up.

“More and more companies are telling us that they no longer have a supply contract for electricity or gas at all,” DIHK President Peter Adrian told the RND newsroom.

“The tap is turned off in the truest sense of the word.

“But without energy, no economy can run.”

The Arkansas and Missouri basins are about to get a good storm, and hopefully it has enough energy to make it through to the Mississippi and Ohio basins as well.

It is interesting how similar some of our modern events are mirroring aspects of several works of classic dystopian fiction, even some of the more extreme ones.

I have to admit that I’ve been watching many of these types of movies lately and it’s like a jolt of electricity shooting through my mind as I see something in the movie that parallels current events.

America needs a Presidential candidate who runs on a platform that includes mass deportations effective immediately. We are going into famine and civil war. This is not migration. This is INVASION.

Over 2 million illegals were caught in FY'22. That's the equivalent of a big city. I think I read where 98 of those were on the terrorist watch list. Just last month, there were over 200,000 that were caught. We've got a *huge* problem. Where are all these newcomers going to live? What infrastructure can handle a new large city every year? If we don't send these people back, we're going to be in serious trouble.

At least 5 million foreign nationals have invaded the USA in 2 years!

And "our" government has funded this invasion by confiscation of our labor, taxing citizens to fund the invasion!

The primary duty of the federal gov per the Constitution is to defend the states against invasion.  This is treason.

Ben Bergquam has a program on Real America’s Voice Network called Law and Border where he encountered boat after boat after boat after boat, full of people from all over the world making their way through the Darian Gap in Panama, north towards the Southern Border and into America.

This is just a sample of what is shown on his program.  It’s beyond crazy.

The reason thousands of cities nationwide are forced to build new schools each year and yet still have unmanageably large classes is illegal aliens invading.  Your tax dollars are being stolen to educate your replacements, foreigners and their children, who have invaded the country and who will support the politicians and bureaucrats that violated immigration law to fund their journey here.

US kids cannot get a decent education because of all the ESL "students", and money that should be spent on citizens is spent on invaders.  And that isn't even addressing the woke curriculum and indoctrination going on...

Lying about everything, big and small, earth-shattering and inconsequential, is now the status quo.

The gov and press LIE to desensitize the public and normalize the lies and their crimes against us.

Nothing is questioned, no matter how absurd or physically and morally repulsive.

People just shake their heads and go back to reality TV or their phone apps.

The goal has been achieved: nothing will shock people into action now.
