I listen to a lot of prepper/news videos in the background in the mornings and while cooking dinner. What I have noticed is that some of the most stoic channels who always said to avoid the fear porn...are starting to sound alarms themselves.
There is so much news filtered out of the usual US channels its kind of mind blowing. I don't know where we will be in a year, I don't know what will happen. But people are indeed paying attention. All I can do, all any of us can do, is insulate ourselves as much as possible from what may come and in the meantime live our lives to the fullest. but they don't have to be mutually independent. Having a better and more secure homestead can be a rewarding experience, financial wellbeing is a reward in itself, being prepared for what may come allows for a feeling of confidence that allows us a more fulfilling sense of happiness when we do the things we love. ETA: but let me say...the world is changing in my opinion. Gathering information from many different sources is what helps us chart a course through the maelstrom. |

The one thing that screams louder than anything else and that is America is asleep. As long as they can buy their beer and have netflix, America doesn't care on some levels. We are so insulated from world events which is by design. But I at least I can choose to be prepped. |

Luckily, we had some hand warmers that we used to keep the cats beds warm. It got down to 47deg. inside the apartment two mornings in a row and this is down in the Corpus Christi area along the Texas Gulf Coast.I think the prepper thinking going mainstream has happened organically ever since the pandemic caused severe shortages of stuff. People didn't think about the fact that they eat away from home a lot. A lot of folks go out to lunch near where they work. Kids eat lunch at school (some even get breakfast at school). Parents run their kids to fast food joints on the way to soccer practice. Weekends are usually eat out days. All that to say that the "institutional" food distribution network is huge. The grocery store food distribution is large but was totally unable to cope with the dramatically increased demand. It wasn't that there was a shortage of food, per se, it's that it was in the wrong place (and often in the wrong form). The TP debacle also probably forced a lot of people into the reality of "prepping". I see that as a good thing as the fewer people that are ill-prepared, the better off we all are. |

It might have been here, it's hard to keep track of the various aggregators, but the CCP's problem is the World Cup. Overall, they haven't censored the World Cup and as a result, billions of chinese have witnessed the world outside of the censorship. This is local to me, but affects the country, and is happening in other states around the country right now. Look at your state races and ballot initiatives. Look at how the votes are distributed. It can be REALLY obvious when votes are being manufactured.

The republicans "managed" to win the house by 1 seat, which means the D governor can veto anything they pass. There is no way democrats voted for governor, sos, AG, and all the ballot initiatives (like illegals getting in-state tuition, tax hikes, and blocking voter ID), yet didn't bother voting for democrat senator slots for the state (which would direct how those new taxes are spent)! Democrats would have won EVERY state senator seat if they voted in the numbers they manufactured for governor and top-of-ticket races! Yet 700,000 democrats just left the democrat state senator races blank? REALLY.?????!,??!?,?,?!! |

Yet 700,000 democrats just left the democrat state senator races blank? REALLY.?????!,??!?,?,?!! I cannot state my true feelings here, which are the exact same feelings I had on November 4, 2020. This is treason and should be addressed as such. When the entire system is corrupt, the avenues for a solution get very narrow, very quickly. |
