Sometimes you can find some really cool knives at the car wash.

Thanks, I thought so. Of course as soon as I get another the whole system doesn't work, but I've known that for a while.

I think the real turning point will be when I get Bonnie. I have already set the wheels in motion to have a place to put Bonnie when I get her.

Playin the long game.

I asked her multiple times to let me handle it and stop bringing home junk that was so loose the shuttle would get stuck in the racquet strings.

Last year I got some decent racquet and these light up birdies. The light is worthless, because you only see it when it is going away from you, but it adds a couple grams over regulation which is great when you aren't an expert and helps with the wind too. Adds a little entertainment too. Way better than the bent up plastic ones though and they actually spiral in flight. Just having any reasonable tension on the strings also was a huge game changer. This year I'm finally done with the shit nets that take plastic poles and a dozen stakes to put up.

Still pulling asparagus regularly - batch accumulated from the last 4 days. The difference is hard to adequately describe when you grow it yourself. It is impossible to eat without the juice running down your chin sums it up best. That was also true for the lamb burgers.

Not as good. Too cakey and sweet.

Going to have to finish the dirt work, mow, and try to work on the fence some today. Need to pick up some grass seed, too . Or, I could skip mowing for another few days and my back yard may produce some mature seed on its own - it's getting pretty damn close now lol.

Edit: best I can do right now.

I think next year asparagus is definitely on the list even if I have to build something.

I also love lambburgers.

Do the asparagus for sure next year, trust me.

not sure if serious...will use sarcasm to respond...

The "thank you for the tip" gif was a jab at the missing tip of your knife in the pic. Damn it man, it is almost like you do it to spite us. Every. Damn. Time.

The wraps say "Trader Joe's" right on them. You can only get them at Trader Joe's. Next time you are in Elm Grove, hit em up. Or if you are on the north shore, look me up.

The tortilla wrap thing has been rough for me. I like tacos.

Cheese wrap thing is OK, still not quite right. Egg wraps worked, little different texture. Cauliflower wraps, just too much cauliflower. Lettuce wraps, barf.

I like jicama. these were light, crispy, still flexible, good. I enjoyed them.

As for the butter knives...just stay away...his knives are problematic...and the warranty...and he is so abusive to his customers...just don't...

These are my go to for wrap type needs.

https://shop.josephsbakery.com/products/flax-oat-bran-whole-wheat-pita-bread

We sometimes cut a slit in one side, stuff them with taco filling, fajitas or ham/cheese, whatever, then brown them in the skillet with olive oil or butter. They get very crispy.
