Ummmm I forgot pics this morning. This one went with us to a friends house for dinner tonight- but I had stuff to do all day and never stopped to get a pic of the finished product.

I'll say this- I smoked this one at 225 on my BGE and even though it took 15 hours for 10 lbs- the color was much more pink than my usual bark @ 250-275. 225 takes a little voodoo on my egg, or I just need a lot more practice. Darn.

Here's a new pic for the thread to make up for my failure. Finally broke down and bought a chaffle maker.

I'm open minded. Still not my preference, but the texture was OK.

MY FIL got a quarter salmon as payment for smoking the whole salmon.

That is certainly true.

Thankfully it was only a tiny bit too done and still quite tasty.

We don't usually use buns so I forgot how insanely wide you need to make the patties if you want them to fill the bun once cooked. I just overlapped two burgers on one bun to make it work.

The rifle is one of four XM3's my STA platoon had in Iraq, it was issued to one of my friends and I picked it up from the CMP a few years back. Joining it are a few rare USMC bayonets. Left to right: prototype USMC Buck M9 from 1993, two USMC Lan-Cay FT (Field Trial) from 2000 and a Eickhorn USMC Bayonet 2000 (this one is pretty interesting, info on it is below the gun/knife pics):

That M40 and the bayonets are awesome!
The bin o knives is pretty cool too.

Last time I bought everclear, it was during the first few months of Wu-Flu freak out and we couldnt get hand sanitizer for work.
EverClear is 95% alcohol so it works as an orally ingested anesthetic AND as hand sanitizer.
Plus it was cheaper than what little craptastic hand sanitizer we could find at the time.
