Which I never said, I didn't say a damn thing about it other than that it's an older one on washers. It makes a huge difference. I rarely found myself carrying mine with the flat linen micarta scales either. I think these contoured ones will remedy that.

I had one a while back. I liked it. A lot. It is a well thought out design, and the scale options are endless and reasonably priced. Great materials, made in the US, great price, great CS, high flat grind, why wouldn't someone want it?

For me, it was too thin and light. As much as I liked it, I found myself grabbing others first. So I sent it on to a good home where I think it is getting the love and appreciation it deserves.

Fast forward to present day.

I have been playing with the idea of getting another one just because of the starry night scales offered. They have even more scales available now than when I had my other one, but I would probably just get some of the new 3D contoured starry night scales and leave them on there.

I was leaning toward not doing it, but then one (starry) night I was drinking (surprise) and one popped up for sale at a solid price, and, feeling a bit saucy, I sent the guy a low offer.

He said he felt his price was already very fair and he would not go lower.

I said nor worries, I understand.

After a bit, he reaches out again and says aw hell, why not, and hooked me up.

So now I just need starry night scales.

It really is a very nice, ideal, office carry knife.

So if you like the general design, you should be able to find some scales that speak to you. With all the offerings, you can find something that makes them a little heavier, thicker, thinner, lighter, flashier, more subdued, whatever.

About the size of a CRK

https://i.imgur.com/icREeFn.jpg

Super easy to swap scales without disassembling the whole knife

https://i.imgur.com/zwCDgtm.jpg

But I did anyway because that's how I roll

https://i.imgur.com/zhlfLMv.jpg

Hit the micarta with 60 grit to open it up and viola

Thanks for your thoughts. It looks like something I may like given its weight and overall [lack of] thickness. The blade looks thin and slicey, the overall design is visually pleasing, titanium, tons of scale options...really, everything you've mentioned outside of how it feels.

I'll be on the lookout for their next drop, and will give it a go.

He's screwed me several times. He keeps selling knives that I end up wishing I had in my collection after they're gone, then I have to go and pay more to get them from someone else.

Took the Inkosi on a 20-mile trail run today and almost stepped on this little guy.

Been carrying the Inkosi exclusively for almost a month. The finish is wearing in and I've yet to find anything appreciable about the knife that I don't like. The clip is the only part that I’d like to swap. The OEM works but seems flimsy compared to the rest of the knife.
