Lol) I'm betting on this one being a better deal out of the box vs. my first old budget standby, the $20 old hickory chef's knife that desperately needs a regrind right out of the package but is pretty decent after that. I have to take care of my people when I can. |

Ok, quick bench top review.
TLDR: I'd say pass unless you can check it out out of the package somehow to make sure yours isn't bent. Attached File Blade is bent, I'm going to try to bend it straight. The corners on the spine near the handle has had the corners knocked off, ever so slightly. From the middle of the "Dexter" out the spine is sharp, like it catches a fingernail sharp. Attached File This little hump at the front of the handle digs into the index finger joint when you hold it in a pinch grip. The handle is shaped like they want you to hold it like Michael Myers. Here's a picture of the ".. individually ground and honed to the ultimate edge." Attached File |

If he was in Winnipeg, he would not be grilling in November. |

Despite being from Beam. 114 was harder to find earlier this year because some trend setter wrote a positive review shortly before they had a bottle shortage, and then they couldn’t get trick drivers. It is back on stock most everywhere I go now. |

Sargento is Wisconsin Oscar Meyer and Kraft used to be largely produced in Wisconsin, not so sure anymore. They shut down some plants here. The rest of that stuff, no idea. Frankly, it is all rather suspect. Schweigert is Minneapolis. It is owned by a company in LaCrosse but it is in MN. No idea if it is still made there. I like your spirit though. |
