You don't have to like one or the other better. I think it would be knife-dependent.

What do you think of the sauce? I enjoy it.

Any tips for cutting S110V from yall?

I just dulled a new bandsaw blade after cutting maybe 2” of material

Might have to break out the angle grinder to cut out these blanks

Anyways here are the handles and Magnacut blanks

That's a good medium for a vinegar based sauce.

I was surprised by the amount of makers who profile from bar stock with their grinder. Might be the way for some steels, I guess.

I think the most hot rod steel I've played with is 52100, so I don't have experience with not being able to cut steel with the saw. Lol

They are now

Prototype I did by hand cause I was still messing with the idea of me making a folder. It was more of a fun project. Plus it’s functional so eh, good enough for a prototype.

It proved out the design (with some slight modifications) that I am making my Gen 1.

Everything should come annealed. I’ve only ever had issues with bars from Alpha Knife Supply not being properly annealed.

Yeah since it’s 0.1” thick stuff profiling it all the way down is totally doable, it’s just annoying compared to cutting.

This is my first experience with fancy steels so it’s a learning opportunity

I don’t even have HRC test files so there isn’t a great way to see what hardness, or rather if, the S110 is hardened. It didn’t FEEL hard when cutting, I’m wondering if it dulled by running into some HAZ on the edges, I’m not sure what they use to cut their billets
