I do not smoke a pipe. Enjoy the smell. I’ve tried. Don’t have the time it takes to properly enjoy.

Most cases way easier to grab a cigar. But once you get the hang of it a pipe is very therapeutic if you allow the time for it. |

My German “father” always had a pipe in hand. Always smoked cherry something. Very fond memories.

You don't own this forum, you don't own GD, you don't own this thread. Your internet "street cred" that y'all seem to think means something? It doesn't. And the fact that I'm still here is clearly upsetting you. Again, you want my knife scrubbed from the internet? Put up or shut up. Buy it. Or keep on sniveling like a pissant child. You can knock that out of the park. While we're here, how about a quicky review? The Mick Strider Stub looks... Well, ridiculously uncomfortable. But surprisingly, the grip is rather pleasant and versatile. Particularly with the massive choil, it allows a very comfortable grip for detailed tip work. While losing some potential edge length to that choil, the massive belly makes it an effective slicer (which was another surprise, considering the thickness). The width and grind work well to achieve a solid cutter. It's evocative of skinning knives. It's chunky in the pocket, but having carried some larger Cold Steel folders, it's far from uncomfortable. Doesn't weight down the pocket. Opening is very smooth. It's taking some getting used to, since most of my daily carry folders are waved, but it deploys nicely. The character of the maker aside, the product itself is high quality and potential buyers should be aware of both to make their own decisions. Hiding away a knife in shame is only something dipshits would want. |

I wanted to take advantage of the dry, windy climate while we have it.
I made some biltong. It's basically salt and vinegar cured , then air dried meat that the Dutch in south Africa invented. This stuff sat in the cure for 24 hours and then I started it in the air fryer on dehydrate, then hung it outside for 5 days. Attached File |
