How was the jaloro? I had to abandon mine for an interstate move but was able to pick a handful of no more than 3/4” peppers before leaving. I chopped them up for some tacos we made. I’ll try again next season.

Now you need to grab ingredients to stuff (mozzarella/cream cheese and ham, diced shrimp and diced red onion in cream cheese, etc) and bacon wrap the excess that doesn't go into sauces.

[Last Edit: 80085] [#24]
The traditional sauce to dip the toritos into is lime and soy sauce. Sounds weird but works well.

eta I don't like how he chucks an entire shrimp inside it. If you dice the shrimp it fits better and the pepper will close up. I also don't like how he bacon wraps them - seems like the bacon nearest the pepper will be raw. Like any jalapeno popper if you wrap from top to bottom you won't get trichinellosis and it will cover the cut to insert the ingredients.

This is the pub burger. They have two. One is cracked pepper, the other is peanut butter bacon and jam burger.

That is indeed the plan. They're looking quite productive, I think I'm going to have a couple pecks to pick, should I pickle them?

We used to make jalapeño poppers often and usually trimmed the bacon down so that it would cook more efficiently with less cheese loss.

I would usually cut them in half (the bacon strips). I'm going to have to try wrapping the long way, though, that does seem to make sense.

Also looking at the titles I wonder if the little chiles gueritos I love to eat on everything are just smaller jaloros

It's funny you should say that. I took some pics after my snack because I was impressed at how well it sliced those peppers and spreads cheese.

She's thicc for sure but they did an impressive job on making it a slicer
