Pic from last night didn't turn out great but the meat did.
14ish hours over oak and pecan. Salt and pepper rub with a yellow mustard binder.  Today I grabbed a couple of slices in between chores  Still tender even when cold. |

First thing I did was remove the wire pocket clip. I like wire pocket clips generally, but no need for one on this size knife.
then I hit the micarta with 60 grit. it was a kinda smooth. opened it right up. looks and feels so much better.

The tab may work as a screwdriver or scraper, but it is just a bit short for popping bottle tops. works in a pinch, but not ideal

It flushes the chips down through some filters so at least the coolant gets filtered before recycling back to the top of the mill table but the wet dust gets slung everywhere in the enclosure. I’m going to do a bit more research on working with composites in a CNC mill before I do too many more. I’m concerned about the abrasive dust making its way down into the important parts of the mill. |
