Sergei shirogorov’s wife’s instagram rivals Zelensky’s wife’s instagram account in that they’re both pimping the Eastern European flashy money social media lifestyle.

An 11k shiro certainly helps maintain that bling bling lifestyle.

Pic from last night didn't turn out great but the meat did.

14ish hours over oak and pecan. Salt and pepper rub with a yellow mustard binder.

Today I grabbed a couple of slices in between chores

Still tender even when cold.

Yup I agree, I much prefer Micarta as well but needed to make sure the programs all work with G10. I hate cutting G10 on my mill, glass particles everywhere. Micarta is so much easier on the mill with the fabric instead of fiberglass. I may not cut another pair of G10.

I don't drink much. If I go out I may have a few, but generally I don't have time for the frivolity or the recovery.

I did my part to support the economy during the COVID years, and day drinking was conducive to being able to spread things out over more time.

These days though, I don't keep much at home and at the office I don't have time to sneak a few sips in. Usually.

And if the other gentleman's comment is in reference to the time in Germany, well, as I said, it's just different. Beer is like water. You just drink it.

Nice!  It looks really good. Did you use ferric chloride?  I'm trying to get a blade in AEB-L to etch like that right now and I'm having a hell of a time with it. I'm thinking about trying a different acid.

Do you use coolant with the g10?  I remember listening to Rick Hinderer, iirc, talking about how that's the only way he'll work with g10 and maybe carbon fiber.

It makes sense. Making handles is nasty.

First thing I did was remove the wire pocket clip. I like wire pocket clips generally, but no need for one on this size knife.

then I hit the micarta with 60 grit. it was a kinda smooth. opened it right up. looks and feels so much better.

I do use flood coolant, I can’t imagine how bad it would be without coolant. It flushes the chips down through some filters so at least the coolant gets filtered before recycling back to the top of the mill table but the wet dust gets slung everywhere in the enclosure. I’m going to do a bit more research on working with composites in a CNC mill before I do too many more. I’m concerned about the abrasive dust making its way down into the important parts of the mill.
