New panini place opened up in town.  Not bad but my daughter loves it.  She goes back to college in two weeks so I'll let her have her choices for now.

Italian combo panini with mortadella, Genoa salami, provolone, thin sliced red onion, cherry peppers, arugula and garlic aioli.   I give it 3.5/5.0 noms.

Very nice! Curious that it has a C/D type screw in the pivot. Is that the way they sell them now? Will need to do more research. Haven't been following as much since they went millennial pimping.

Same pivot as the elemental series F3s.

I want to get the other three “elements” to round out the set.
I need fire, air, and water.

I definitely prefer the new style blade with the slight belly and the jimping on the spine of the blade.

I think the F3NS is better.

F3 feels good in the hands, but has SRBS, no jimping on the blade, and the more streamlined blade.
I do not know if the pivot & stand off screws are differently sized than the F3NS.

The F3NS has MRBS, the jimping, and the more aesthetically pleasing blade shape to my eye.

I don’t know if I can upgrade SRBS to MRBS,(although SRBS really arent bad at all).

it was a cute school project. it melted the chocolate after maybe 20 minutes, didn't do much for the marshmallow. Aldi only had ridiculous jumbo so we had to cut the marshmallows in half (under protest from my girls) so maybe if we quartered them they would fair better?

It does. I like the look of that g10 111, but I don't know if we ever nailed down the validity of the steel.

I've been eyein' a Sigma, but the pivot screw has been kinda chewed up by the previous owner. It's slightly reminiscent of a Kapara.

Cronidur is not Cromax. Cromax is the mystery steel. Cronidur is an old one Shiro has used before, though I feel like it has been 5-7 years since I last saw it.

Cronidur is LC200N.

It's legit.

I just recork wine on the off chance I don't finish it, but my wife's preferred drink is champagne (not fancy) and she'll have it around for a few days at least once opened. It has a deeper & less broad lip than wine so maybe it would work.

I may have flown a little too close to the sun with this one but I don't have any regrets. Lol

The blade started as 1/16" 1084 stock. The spine where it broke is .018"

It had a good run. I think I finished this one about three years ago and I'm a little surprised that something didn't happen sooner.  I'll reprofile it and put it back to work.
