Picked this up over the weekend. It's no sebenza, but its smaller and lighter than what I was previously carrying. I was surprised to find it new since they haven't made knives in years. Now if only I could find a delta and an echo.

Doesn't have to be a Sebenza. Looks good. I thought SF was having another company make their knives

Bringing primitive back!

Is it a jute or hemp thread and how does it hold up?

It holds up very well, its embedded in epoxy and has to be power sanded off. Here is a cross section you can see the jute embedded in the epoxy:

@Star_Scream How do you like that Valet? With an Axis lock, M390, G10 scales and a deep carry clip it checks all the boxes for me. Been thinking about picking one up but haven't had a chance to handle one in person yet.

The local brewery was too far to walk and I needed to stretch my legs. It's nice to remember simpler times now and then

I like it a lot. It's perfect as a office/gentleman's knife. The Axis has been scaled down  to fit so it takes a little adjustment but it's discreet while being very useful

In fact I carried the Valet again today.

I tried to get a pic next to the MRI of my elbow at the surgeons office but I never got left alone long enough.

So

Oddly enough I'd take steel reserve over either of those two. Both are kinda skunky and funky.

I like it. It got used for some tree trimming when I first got it and since has been put on collection status. He was a craftsman that's for sure. It reminds me of something the terminator would carry.

Thanks man. I wasn't sure about it, but wanted a sebenza with a little bit of color. This thing definitely exceeded my expectations, it changes colors almost like a chameleon paint job from plain titanium to blue and green depending on the angle.
