PM2 had all the fun again today. Boletus nobilis again and the lavender ones are Boletus separans. They do dry very well and make great sauces as said. Getting them this fresh is a real delicacy and a rare treat even for me.

Add to that I have a USP 45T that I got a smoking deal on and it has not made sense to get the MK23, but of course I still want one for the history aspect, but it has to be the right situation.

MK23 is the answer when you really need a crew served pistol.

I came to talk shit. That BBQ sauce looks good, I’d throw a splash of liquid smoke in there for good measure. I haven’t posted pics of the new Sigs yet because I haven’t even shot them yet and I’m having  a bitch of a time sourcing FMJs. But, since you asked..

On Sunday, I changed my 1-year old’s shit diaper with my right hand while holding a sandwich with my left. Fried garlic bologna and spicy brown. It was delicious. Never eaten foot scraping though.

Looking good, looking good.

Until I got to the Lon.

I still haven't shot a P320X.

I didn't realize 9mm was getting expensive/hard to find. Maybe I should check with my FFL to see if he has any extra on hand.

Sig page won't load for me, but if they have any on hand, its good stuff. If you only got one mag and go to their website to claim your second, they should give you a 25% off code that applies to ammo too. over $100 ships free.

They are pretty neat systems wise.

I still need to drop my flat trigger into my first P365. Watching some youtube videos, looks like it should be doable even for a monkey like me. Not as easy as the P320s, but doable.

Bought the p365 during a Sig promo week at my LGS. I grabbed two 15rd mags for it, and two more for the Xcompact, which actually came with two already. P365 had a “1M” sku and only came with a single mag. Did the mag redeem thing and they gave me a 3 week eta for delivery. Not horrible. I did get a 25% off coupon though. I’ll check their ammo inventory.

Ammo has been a real bitch across the board. Found 5 boxes of 147gr HST I snapped up from TargetSports. SGAmmo is cleaned out. Found a case of Federal AE on Gunbroker... for $330 plus shipping

We’ll give it a few more weeks and see if I’m that desperate.

I put the flat trigger in the p365 last night. Went in way easier than I thought. Find the YouTube video where the guy installs the armorycraft trigger.

...and don’t be knocking my deer hunting knives. 1095 or not, those guys have cleaned some deer.

Yeah, I think that is the video I watched to see if I could do it before I ordered it. I'm sure I can. If I mess anything up, my FFL will fix it for me.

I'm not knocking your knives, just personally never seen the appeal of Lon Humphrey knives. I mean, they're not Gulsos.

The bottom one was a twin to a knife I finished a while ago that I felt like the handle was too small for the blade.  I changed this one up a little, but I think I now have too much handle and not enough blade. Lol. It feels pretty good in the hand though, so it'll be better to use than it's twin.

I'll get it figured out at some point.

For real.

One of my friends wanted one so he could have it before he finished the Police Academy so he could win some sort of competition they had which he thought would help him get hired.

So we drove to a gun store since his wife had their car. The whole time he's going on and on about how it has have these crazy accuracy specs so the navy seals can use it, how much better it is than any other gun, ever. He's going to carry it for SWAT, and it's the only gun he'll ever need.

He saw the price, apparently he hadn't researched that part. Settled on the USP 45 instead. Spent a bunch of money on a cool holster, mag pouches, and accessories. He was also fucking broke at this point as he wasn't working while in the academy and his wife was looking for a job. I had in fact offered to let him borrow my P226 (what SEALs were actually carrying) for a bit but he drank that HK coolaid. My lowly Sig was not good enough.

Gets hired a few weeks after graduation. They give him a choice of a Glock 22 or 23 to carry. No exceptions. He also tried to concealed carry the USP for a bit.

He's all pissed because he spent so much on the USP and gear. So I made him an offer just above what a gun shop would offer. He didn't like it.
