It takes Glock mags?

I want one. One stop solution for a truck gun that fits into an apache box and holds enough kit for a few days.

From my experience with 2 wiped cans, a wiped can is a lot quieter than a normal can of the same dimension.

Also, they are very easy to store "wet" without creating a mess.  Those first few rounds with a wet and wiped (sealed wipe) can are a very meaningful difference in sound in most applications (gun/can/caliber dependent).

I've honestly considered getting a Glock 19x V hush puppy with B&T wiped can since the hush puppy project doesn't do conversions anymore.  No idea if the V will fit on a regular 19x grip frame though, as I'm one of the weirdos that likes the 'toe' on the 19x.

Then again, I'm waiting to see if PSA or anyone else comes out with a cost effective RXM or other Glock mag chassis.  There are some RXM chassis out there but $$$ or ugly.

I'm extremely intrigued by this Shiv for my 365 Flux Raider. My Huxwrx Flow 9k is pretty light, but that Shiv is on another level. Would you guys consider it pretty much hearing safe on a 6.5" barrel?

I don't do extended shooting sessions without ears on, but the ability to crank off a few rounds without my ears ringing all day is attractive.

I havent seen anything.

I have multiple MP5 clones, multiple Flux raiders, the Brno PSD, PS90….

At this point I need to stop buying PDWs.  I think my next purchase is a Seekins bolt gun in 6.5.

If you ever find yourself in a position of having to shoot someone who needs it, a few DB one way or the other will be the least of your problems. Any 9mm can is fine.

When you made that post, I got it mixed up with one above or below it which made me think somebody in here bought one. I was hoping for a terrible review so I could put that thing out of my mind and just wait for the 5.7, lol.

I ain't got the pockets for a $3500 PDW, but it looks really rad.

So, apparently, this is a collaboration or maybe a collection of companies under the Ghost Glock trigger umbrella, and distributed by G-Force CNC Solutions. The card says it was developed by “Ghost Hammer Development Group”, and in the parts kit it has a Ghost Glock disconnector.

The parts are well made (combination of CNC and Wire EDM) but appear to be ceracoted rather than anodized-my OCD doesn’t like that as the tunnel the selector goes thru isn’t painted-it will have to be kept oiled I suppose.. it could be that ceracote was a faster option early on in terms of getting these to the market, hopefully anodizing is coming.

Won’t be able to test the trigger for a while until I get up to my cabin. Might be in this gun, might be in something cooler… deciding if I want to part with the money..

I got the Timney 2-stage trigger last Christmas for my AP5.

Very short take-up and crisp release. Makes both precision shots and rapid fire much easier.

Yep, when I got home I saw that it's set for Monday delivery.

Oh well, I started setting up my Recover brace on a Gen 5 G19. I ordered a Recover "glass breaker" with an optic rail, and I'm currently pondering whether to go with a Holosun or RMR. Leaning toward the RMR.

I have two 20/20 setups-one with an SRO  and the Serpico FRT and the other just semi with a 509T. The FOV is way better on the Trijicon but the Holosun is a much better sight. My next build will have the 507 comp or whatever version they have that is enclosed.

Size matters on these setups because everything is tight to your cheek weld. I had a setup earlier with the endo tactical adaptor on a G19 with a blade brace and a regular RMR mounted in a 6 second mount from Geiselle up high and a lot of people I handed it to had trouble finding the dot. Definitely don’t have that problem with the SRO, even mounted on the slide.

I would give strong consideration to the 509ACSS or 407ACSS though-you get more intuitive reticle for shooting a braced setup like a handgun and a chevron in the center for a precise aiming point and some drop compensation for longer shots.

Another thing to mention is that I never turn my holosuns on, they are always bright enough indoors or out for the reticle to work. If it’s dark I just grab a carry gun with a lot reticle-I’m betting my holosuns will last a decade between batteries because of this.

Come to think of it, if you are forward mounting your optic, why not a SRS mini red dot with no battery at all? Just put it in the sun every once in a while and get 2k hours of life…. Good option for working guns that get used little.

I tried to run my OSS/HUXWRX Rad 45 on my P365 Flux Raider…

I greased the snot out of it and ran it with the booster, in both long and short configurations, using Hornady Critical Duty 135-grain +P ammo.

With the stock recoil spring I could not get it to run reliably.  Arguably the Armory Craft recoil spring tuning kit could remedy that, but I’m looking at the Shiv now myself and just cut to the chase and run it dedicated…

I know the point of the USW is to retain holster compatibility. I got mine with the full intent to turn it into a carbine. I drilled and tapped the holes for a side pic rail and never looked back.

I have both the USW-A1 and the USW-G (two of them actually), I never considered the -G’s to be holsterable and don’t know of a holster that’s available-they are pistol based, but PDW’s in side and mission profile.

The USW-A1 is another matter and a completely different ball of wax-it may not have the modularity or ability to accessorize like the -G’s, but there are several things about the -A1 that make it a better gun to have:

1) Size. You’ll actually have it on your person compared to the PDW you left at home or in your car in it’s “totally not a gun in here bag”.

2) The DA/SA action makes the gun faster to put into action because there is no safety-that DA pull is definitely heavier but not to the point you can’t get good hits all the way out at the end of the limits of the cartridge (13-150 yards) where bullet drop means having to be really good at distance estimation to ensure incapacitating hits on a man sized target. The gun has a decocker too, so it’s easy to put it away without worrying about that short, light, excellent trigger in SA mode.

3) With the CZ action it is a MUCH better/Quieter suppressor host than anything that ever had a Glock action, even with longer dwell timing barrels from places like SilencerCo.

No, Really. It is a huge difference in sound. With ablative liquid a guy could do a lot of damage in a crowded place before anyone knew. It’s stunning, not just “wow, that’s quiet”. Gas in the face isn’t bad, where the Glock based PDW’s make you cry halfway thru the first mag.

4) The stock deployment is not only more lefty friendly for me, but I’m really surprised they didn’t put the stock on the opposite side. I push the release button with my support thumb and then blade my hand across the side of the gun as it pops out…. Way faster and more positive  than the way B&T shows of having to roll the gun and reach over it for righties.

I do have to say that the factory holsters suck, and the included Aimpoint red dots-particularly the Nano on the early model just blow. I wish they would come out with a different optics bridge that allowed for other foot prints or a pic rail section like the -G’s have.

Now, for the -G’s, I’ll say that:

1) Closest thing I have seen for a true Pistol to Rife in practical terms and in feel, especially the way mine is set up with the 7.5” barrel. That barrel hasn’t yet provided the additional velocity in the loads I have tried to be worth the length, but the package feels like something someone in a support role or maybe someone getting in and out of armor or cockpits would need for their job.

2) The additional weight and Length of Pull likely makes them one of the better options for using an FRT-these guns with their little bikini stocks are pretty sharp with recoil and tend to bruise you.

3) The quality and execution make the cost of the chassis worth it.

4) The biggest letdown in the kit is the pic-rail conversion on the Aimpoint footprint. Mine has a lot of slop in it and I’m certain that if I ever dropped it, my prism scope would lose zero. I plan to drill holes and install roll pins in the future as can’t ever see putting an Aimpoint anything on it. I will say that, other than having to be mounted far rearward and having the back of the scope exposed to drop damage when folded, the Primary Arms SLX-1x with the 9mm BCD reticle is absolutely Titties n’ Beer on this setup.

@TheOtherDave thanks! I agree with your comments on the USW-G. I don't have an A1 to compare. I didn't realize that only the A1 model had a corresponding holster. The youtube reviews of the G model I have watched still mention that it too was made for a holster, shouldn't be used with a vertical grip, etc. #fakenews

I throw it in my backpack and carry it with me to work on the daily. My pack is a 15 year old Patagonia Refugio - Does NOT scream, "PDW Glock!"

B&T really should drill and tap holes and include a rail section and screws for the left side. I'm not a machinist and don't have a drill press, so my rail did not come out perfectly level. I don't mind because the sense of accomplishment was worth it as I got to research and practice drilling and tapping with tools I had on hand. It's going to wear a scout light 99% of the time so it doesn't need to be perfectly in line with the bore.

It is a gassy and stabby gun to shoot! Despite all its faults, it is one of my favorite plinkers. Safety glasses, subsonic rounds, a steel plate and this USW-G make for a very fun afternoon.

Small update for the blackout PDW:

I recently acquired another Omega 9k and it came with an updated, flush-fit 5/8x24 mount. Shaved a half inch off of overall length.

Tested the Shiv with the Raider 365. It suppresses way better than I expected, probably just above hearing safe with subs. The gas was pretty bad when choked up on the stock but that's kinda unavoidable. Overall a definite improvement to my carry gun. Still fits in the fanny pack I use as a cross body bag to carry it, which looks cringe but in the harmless hippy way instead of the armed oddball way.

Finally finished my little bag o pdw AR9

Folded and suppressor removed fits in a very compact bag about the same as a camelback

Took it shooting this weekend.. with the red dot and no scope able to consistently hit a chest size at 100yd which seems plenty good to me for 9mm.

Nice.

I have liked the Vent 2 enough that I ditched my initial plans to convert my AP5-SD to an actual SD and I'm just using the Vent 2 and 147s on the factory K barrel.  Great sounding suppressor with subsonic 9mm.

Id like some "pistol" like bullets for the 338arc . Like a 145gr gold dot , giving a COAL of about 1.7" . Maybe a heavier option around 160gr .

Itd do well in short bbls . About like a 357 maximum ballistically , but with better SD .

Maybe get in touch with those guys doing the shortened receiver and mag "MARS" clones.

I started building out a JL BIllet RXM Reaper yesterday with the NEO select fire FRT, it’s been a little tedious. The trigger widths are different between the RXM and the width of the NEO trigger assembly-I’d attribute this more to the choice of trigger width at Ruger than poor planning on G-Force’s part… I was able to .073” worth of round shims from work and that got it right but it took two men and a boy to get it back together with those thin shims stacked first.

Once I got the FCU chassis back together I decided I needed to tune the trigger reset arm first as people have said it’s hard to get the FCU into the Reaper chassis because of a tight fit. When I started cycling the gun, the trigger worked fine with a light pull weight in semi, but in FRT there is soo much material left to take off of the reset arm that it contacts the barrel after less than .100” of trigger travel. The other FRT’s I have tuned have all worked right out of the box and maybe benefitted a little from reprofiling, this one certainly isn’t like that.

Too tired to mess with it after spending so much time getting the trigger into the FCU. Maybe tomorrow or over the weekend.Attached File
