I think this video has been discussed here before. IIRC, the bullet went in one eye and out the other.
Someone else did a video about .50bmg sonic waves, and it didn't even disturb a puddle at a few inches. |

The guy CLAIMS that the taxidermist checked out the skull very carefully and says that it wasn't an eye to eye shot.
Much as some people would like to think that a .50 BMG's shock wave could kill something in a very near miss, the fact is, it won't. Something's fucky and I think it's the shooter's explanation. No way that deer wasn't hit. The passing shock wave could not have done that. |

As discussed above, we already did this awhile back. It was an eye socket through and through. I forget which firearms guy shot a .50 through a house of playing cards without disturbing them. The .50 shockwave myth is stupid and refuses to die.

My boss in Vietnam got his glasses shot off by an NVA 51 Cal while rescuing wounded.
After the bullet took off his glasses and grazed his skull he went back out under fire to rescue the last wounded man. They gave him a silver star for that one. |
