I tried to move Pacheco to my 2nd IR spot, but got an error: 'Too many IR listed: error #161' I know I should just drop him, since he's out for 6-8 weeks, and probably won't be really healthy for 10. But I don't want to make that decision today. I want him in my IR for now. |

Many leagues (public, even cash leagues) have managers that drop out even at the first week and do nothing. Some never touch their team all year. Makes for a boring league. I used to do MLB fantasy and found it very time consuming. MLB is a long daily slog! NFL is fun. |

Would you propose this trade to the CMC owner?
10-team PPR league Start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR flex I give Jordan Mason I get Chris Olave and J.K. Dobbins My other RB's are: Devon Achane Alvin Kamara Rhamondre Stephenson Javonte Williams Jaylen Wright I would drop Wright. |

2nd offer (Mason for Olave) was rejected.
I agree - if I had CMC I'd jump on that. Especially considering their other RB's are: Cook Dobbins B. Robinson Chuba Not terrible, but Mason would be a significant upgrade until CMC gets healthy. Oh well... I'm looking at other teams now to see whether anyone wants to give up a #1 WR for Mason. I doubt they will. That trade was tailor-made for the CMC owner. ETA: There's 3 teams who might go for a trade. I'm playing one of them this week - he's scratched. The other one is my nemesis, and I'm not going to improve any part of her team - scratched. The third team looks like this: RB - Zamir White, Zack Moss, Jaylen Warren, Isiah Pacheco WR - Nico Collins, Mike Evans, Amon-Ra, Ladd McConkey, Lazard, Brian Thomas, Jr. Which WR would you target in a trade for Mason? He's a savvy player, so I HIGHLY doubt he'd give up Collins or the Sun God. But he might be tempted to give up Mike Evans or (more likely) Lazard. My trade value would be there for sure if CMC returns at some point. And he definitely needs RB help. I might offer Mason+Keon Coleman for Pacheco+Evans If he doesn't bite on that lopsided offer I might counter with Thomas, Jr. instead of Evans. I can sit Pacheco on the bench until playoff time. |

View Quote As long as my team ends up at least somewhat better than my opponent's. I don't trade unless I have a strong roster. Trading is all about finding deficiencies in an opponent's roster and offering to fix them with players you can afford to lose - at a cost they're willing to pay which will improve your own deficiencies. Offering to trade from a position of weakness (i.e. you have a glaring need) is like jumping off a sinking boat with a bloody nose. You might make it to shore before the sharks get you. Sometimes you don't have a choice, but that's fantasy life. The tough part is selling a player (like Jordan Mason, who may or may not be valuable for the entire season) to a needy manager. Trading is like playing craps. Wagers and dice rolls. |

I’m drunk and I have a proposal.
I’d like to see the league loser be forced to go to their local high school and take the SAT. They have to post the results here of course. Bonus - if the motion is accepted, I’ll take the test also regardless of where I finish. |
