| Wanting to purchase a fairly inexpensive tool kit to leave on my boat in case of emergency repairs. So many chinese brands to choose from on amazon, not sure if there is one that is actually worth a shit? Any recommendations would be appreciated! |
| Buy something like a HF set, then coat everything in bio shield and store them in set of Tupperware type containers with desiccant. |

Leave? Man, you never get off the boat. Whatever you get, even if they are stainless or chrome plated, give them a good hose down with Boeshield, fantastic stuff. Works great on the cover snaps, knives, blued firearms, etc. despite the label, it is not a good lubricant except on bike chains. |
| Find the tools to replace things, like battery cables, spin on fuel filter(s), pumps, coil packs, sparkplugs, props, hoses if one needs to be replaced, spare cotter pins for prop. Wire, fuses, stripper/crimper etc if need to reqire something to get back or bypass something. I even have a spare prop nut-washer kit. Honestly, prevention is worth more than on the water fixes. |
