In an estrogen-filled room hashing out parking spaces in a new parking lot. They were screwing it up badly.
"No ladies, look here. If we angle the spaces like...this, we get an additional 6 spaces, and still plenty of room for the cripple parking." You'd have thought I crapped in their salads. Um, cripple is not ok! You can't say that! "Um, yes I can, I just said it. But if you prefer handicapped spaces, ok." Achtuaally, the preferred term is 'handi-capable'. "Well if they were so capable, why do they need the cripple spots?" And with that, I bid them to go with God my children, left and went back to my regular duties. I'm just not wired to suffer fools that want to control my language. |
