Supposed to release next week. UE5 and reworked mechanics. Oblivion was the first RPG I sank any time into, and was the best of the Bethesda games IMO, but it was hard to go back after playing modded Skyrim. Seems like a good business decision, especially since Bethesda's had a rough few years lately. |

| I don't care for remakes. There's nothing wrong with Oblivion as is. The color palate for this remake is completely different from the original. Also, there will be no mod support, which is one of the best parts of the Bethesda games, as well as necessary to patch the bugs that are never fixed otherwise. |

I have doubts it'll be our soon. They basically got forced into making an announcement tomorrow. And I have a feeling the announcement isn't going to amount to anything except more hype. |

Looking forward to the remake though. I hope the Oblivion gates aren't as boring and repetitive as I remember them. |

Greenman has the deluxe version for $50. Also on gamepass for those that have it. Apparently the base version also includes the DLC expansions, but they made an image to make it seem like only the Deluxe version did to sell more copies of it.... Grab the $40 version from Greenman instead. |

I'm about 6 hours in, using Painted World reshade since the stock colors look like Fallout  So far, it's the same lovable Oblivion jank. Took forever to finish Go Fish as expected, and I've run into a couple of minor bugs, but.. it's a Bethesda game at its core, remaster or not. It looks great, but I'm playing on a 2070 Super so I don't have all the cool guy stuff turned on (my living room computer isn't as powerful as my sim rig). Some stuff looks better, but the Khajit remind me of that Indonesian tiger statue now. Attached File |
