Used to play a few back in the mid to late 90s. Got a random email from one of them a couple weeks ago that made me decide to get back in to them.  A good one can be some fun filler between the usual video games, and easy to play at work in most cases.

Currently on Cartel Empire and Torn.  Torn is actually pretty impressive and vast for a browser game, been playing two weeks now, found a nice starter faction with some cool folks that have been helping me out.  Cartel Empire seems like an unfinished, simpler version of Torn and folks seem to like it but it's pretty boring to me. Thinking about trying Core-Exiles next, heard it's pretty cool.

Anyone else play these or other PBBGs?

Surely I'm not the only person in to PBBGs around here.

I'm not sure if its the same thing but I used to play one that was a grid of a city that you moved through and there were demons.   It was all browser/text based but I played the hell out of it, around 2006 or so.   No idea what it was called but you just reminded me of it.

Sounds familiar.  There are a handful of games from the late 90s/early 00s that I played that I can't quite remember these days.

Only playing Torn at the moment, but thinking about trying out Core-Exiles.
