I wasn't even alive. I may be wrong, but I miss terribly that America

Quoted: Yes, still have one. It's no longer a taco bell but a Mexican fast food place still. It's no longer a taco bell but a Mexican fast food place still. There's at least one still standing in Austin but it hasn't been a Taco Bell in a long time. It was a used car lot for many years. I think it's vacant now. |

Man, I miss the old Burger Chef's! They made all the rest look like dog food palaces.
The 1 BK we had in my hometown wasn't until the early 70's. I don't remember it looking that way, but WTF- I AM old... & damn proud I made it this far. |

Bunch of old farts in here.
Surprised y’all can even use a computer. Here, I’ll save you time in responding. “We invented the computer” ?? |

All the Burger King restaurants here in PA were originally Carrol's restaurants. I was a kid, but we used to eat there and I thought they were good burgers in the 70's. Hell, most food was 10 times better than it is now. Real french fries in lard, dammit! |

Betcha didn’t have to worry about finding nail extensions in your food back then

Didn't have playgrounds back then either as I recall. |

Quoted: Growing up in the 80's in NJ, we had McDonalds, Burger King, White Castle, Wendy's, Roy Rogers, Arby's, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen (just ice cream back then), KFC (but we never got it, always got Chicken Holiday), Pizza Hut (rarely went, plenty of excellent local pizza joints), and then there were the diners... oh the diners. View Quote Never heard of Chicken Holiday. I remember Roy Rogers. We also had Burger Chef in Parsippany when I was young. Loved that place! |

Yes, back in the time of the Enchirito and Bell Beefer. A different time

Kids eating in a car can make a real mess. Arthur Treacher's was also good. A paper "tub" full of fish 'n chips, a drink, and a place to sit. What more do you need? |

Those remembering Arthur Treachers Fish, I remembered a while back finding out there are some still open.
Looks like NY, NJ, &Ohio have some. |

I know...it's not the same as the OP, but others brought out old pics so I did the same. |

20 years before my time, but I'm sure the food was much better. I know the cars were much cooler, and the women were women, and most of the men were men.
I do remember eating at A&W when the root beer came out in frosty mugs and the food was darn good as well. Haven't seen an A&W in many years, but last time I did see one the root beer came out in a paper cup and the food sucked. |
