Arc Raiders is gonna be DOPE! (Page 2 of 2)
I did a run where I loaded in with 1x plastic filled my whole backpack. Just for lulz. Of course I died to some prick. I hope he stroked out as I pleaded don't kill me I can share my loot.

I’m getting over my gear fear slowly, which has me enjoying the game more and being less tense about it. I do wish we had an armory outside of our stash, as this game kind of punishes you with stash management woes by forcing you to take up space with what you have. That said, the idea is to use what you’ve got and craft more if you lose them, therefore giving you purpose topside. Back in the old Vigor days, your weapons, ammo, and consumables didn’t take up stash space so you could hoard to your heart’s content and then bring a bunch of crap in at a time, which sort of imbalanced the game. So I can understand why they did it this way, but some of the stacks are woefully small. Again, a tactic to prevent you from having too much of a good thing. Anyway, the more I use my good gear (and eventually lose it after a few runs with it), the less afraid I am of losing it. So it’s slow progress, but it’s there! |

Last raid of the night, was mostly empty. IV anvil and ferro, pink pack/blue shield. Some assortment of nades and heals. I honestly don't think I picked up much if any loot. Went to extract. Guy was down, so I went to stabilize and get shot in the back. ARC almost took his ass out. Both guns had suppressors/grips/stocks. I just sighed and logged off. I have like 700k in the bank so it was a mild inconvenience. I will say it does seem that PvP dickheads lately seem to be running some almost black jumpsuit with white safety stripes. Anyone else notice the same? I'm ready to shoot any sorry fuck wearing that on sight.

Yesterday I ran across an ARC Raiders thread in GD, if anyone is interested. |

I don't even go in with my higher level guns. A level 4 Anvil and a Stitcher with a 30 round mag do fine. I have a bunch of Venators, Renegades, Ospreys, and 4 Hullcrackers that I barely use. The Hullcracker is pretty much moot once you get the Wolfpack blueprint. Another player in solos watched me kill a Bastion with two Wolfpacks and he said to me "That's all it takes?". I only needed one more Bastion cell so I let him have the rest of them and all the other loot in the wreckage. Embark ID: Extorris#0188 |

I threw one directly at a Bastion and I got like 200 dmg worth of XP. There were no other ARC around. Do you just throw it up in the air? |

I kinda was thinking that after the fact and replaying in my head seeing others use em in action. What a waste of a nade I've had pretty good luck doing some quick loot runs on spaceport. If you have security breach, most of the time you can get to one or two of the security towers on the perimeter at match start and the little guard pillboxes right near them. |

They nerfed Wolfpacks with yesterday's update. I hit a Bastion with 3 of them earlier and I still had to finish him off with some shots from the Anvil. Spaceport has had less PVP than Dam for me lately. |

I completely forgot about the AOL wand for sneaking up on ARC. It made it a lot less stressful getting close to the Bastion. My next mission is I wanna ride a rocketeer and make it take out unsuspecting ARC with lure nades. Should be fun. |

Spaceport has had less PVP than Dam for me lately. I think Spaceport has less PVP because there seems to be more arc on the map. I'm thinking about carrying an arc lure grenade with me and if someone jumps me I'm just going to throw it randomly while running and spamming dodge roll. That nerf sucks. I haven't even tried to take out any more Bastions because I need 2 more of the Industrial Battery to even do the upgrade. I can't find those industrial batteries to save my life. I did figure out that trail blaze grenades (or other fire nades) seem to work better on leapers. |

Got jumped at the swamp area of Dam. Poor motherfucker got like 8 ARC dropped on his face. I didn't live to see it, but it played out awesome in my head

| I did my first Night Raid on Dam last night. I was intending to go through the apartments in the northwest part of the map, but when I approached them, a player was shooting a Rocketeer from one of the darkened windows of the apartment building. I jumped in to the fight and helped him kill the thing. When it finally died, I told him to come out and loot it and that I was friendly. He said, "no, I don't need it. It's all yours". So I came away with two purple Rocketeer Drivers. I stuck them in my prison wallet and was able to extract with no problems. So I didn't get any blueprints, but I did come away with some hard-to-get (for me, anyway) items and no PvP. |

If you can get an Anvil, taking out a rocketeer is surprisingly not as hard as it seems. Hospital on buried city is a decent area to try. Aim, focus on one rotor and then get the other one on the same side. I think it took like 40 rounds with misses to take one down, with very little "gear fear" since it was just an anvil and some heals. Just make sure you scoot as soon as you see the laser and hear the spool up sound

Finally got all benches to level 3. Found another Wolfpack blueprint for a buddy. It was in some random house on Buried City in a drawer during a night raid. Accepted everyone's friend requests. |

Been MIA here a bit. I’m either at work, doing things around the house, of playing Arc Raiders rather than getting on ARF. ![]() New update drops the 24th with another new Arc type and the Hurricane map effect. I was glad to see Cold Snap come back permanently, and the Trophy Case project has given me some purpose lately. Not gonna do the second Expedition either, as I still don’t think they’re worth it as a casual gamer. I’ll likely do one eventually, but I won’t be an “every time” kind of player. Just not worth it right now… Anyway, I feel the game is amazing overall. Some server issues, balancing touches, and a few glitches, but I’m still pleased overall at nearly four months post-release! |
