What kind of bourbon? High rye, low rye, or wheated?
Would you use Pappy in these, or would my bottom shelf Woodford Reserve Double Oaked suffice? ETA: it doesn’t matter since nobody can find the Pappy. |

My family is from Kentucky and bourbon balls are a Christmas tradition.

I like Bourbon without the balls.
Balls might be good but I've not had the pleasure. |

I don’t want your balls....but I’m currently drinking about 4 fingers of Elijah Craig.

Was going to give the Costco a try, but then I read they don't sell it anymore. I'm still trying to find some Blantons to replace my woodford.

Does it make sense to double the amount of Bourbon in the recipe?
Asking for a friend. |

Downed a bottle of Buffalo creek bourbon cream tonight. I recommend supplementing it.

I like bourbon in its natural state, not as an ingredient in anything.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Yeah, I'd make it a generous, manly .5 cup. Too much and the balls get too gummy. Just keep a tumbler nearby to satisfy your thirst. You white folk sure do like to drink a lot.. Sonofabitch!!! https://i.imgur.com/N737QCN.gif I'm white, too. |

My Mom used to make Rum Balls at Christmas when I was a kid that looked exactly like that.
Haven't had them in decades. |
