If so, enjoy my holiday gift to you:

BOURBON BALLS!

Sweet, potent, non-baked goodness.  They only take about 30 minutes to make.  This recipe makes about 5 dozen. They kick ass!

Ingredients
1 (12-oz.) package vanilla wafers, finely crushed

1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

0.75 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

0.5 cup bourbon

2.5 tablespoons light corn syrup

Powdered sugar

How to Make It:

Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until well blended.

Stir together bourbon and corn syrup until well blended. Stir together bourbon mixture and wafer mixture. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Cover and chill up to 2 weeks

What kind of bourbon? High rye, low rye, or wheated?

Would you use Pappy in these, or would my bottom shelf Woodford Reserve Double Oaked suffice?

ETA: it doesn’t matter since nobody can find the Pappy.

I like Bourbon without the balls.

Balls might be good but I've not had the pleasure.

I just use Jim Beam white label.  I'm sure you could use better stuff but I'd rather save that for the glass.

Was going to give the Costco a try, but then I read they don't sell it anymore. I'm still trying to find some Blantons to replace my woodford.

Yeah, I'd make it a generous, manly .5 cup.

Too much and the balls get too gummy.  Just keep a tumbler nearby to satisfy your thirst.

Some of my best friends are Indians

Hell, my school mascot was an Indian and the local tribe fought to keep it when the state came to ban it.

THAT is how much indian spirit I have!

I believe Costco has some available.  I love Hibiki which they used to carry. I just located Hibiki at Trader Joes

My Mom used to make Rum Balls at Christmas when I was a kid that looked exactly like that.

Haven't had them in decades.
