Although certain states are trying to make it so. But yeah, these are generally perfectly legal.

Quoted: This is not that. I've followed this on social media. One of the guys involved with this was trolling the hell out of those guys when that news broke. Posting mirrors to the DefCad files in the comments of their posts and such. He's also working on a Glock frame that's easy to print and uses relatively easy to machine rail inserts.

Illinois has a bill that will ban this file, 3-d guns, 80 percent guns, and even thinking about such guns. You'll be sorry!

That is not an archival memory medium. Search for "m disc". Space age version of etching into stone. View Quote I think solid state storage will remain pretty accessible, simply due to the enormous number of products using it. Spinning media will be sparse. Accessing spinning media that is unconnected to the net will be difficult, unless someone happened to squirrel away a compatible computer or three. And those computers store BIOS in... I think memory cards kept cool, dry and probably dark (to prevent housing damage) would probably last well beyond lifetime of prpducts left in hot (or freezing) cars, humid or salt environments and so on. |
