Those saying you don’t care or NBA who are dense. Take the sports out of it and look at it from the business/economic aspect.

This is a professional multi billion dollar entity that just suspended a season. That is massive and a game changer and to dismiss it out of apathy to said sport is dangerous.

My daughter works for the OKC Thunder, and she's worried about what the office staff will do.

Local news is saying they took 2 Jazz players to a local hospital for testing, and both teams are quarantined at Chesapeake Arena.

That's not a good sign whether you like the NBA or not.

Yup. I was supposed to be at a game Friday. There are a large number of people that make their living off of these games like the sport or not.

In the forcible future all mass public events will be closed. Probably a few major stores will close as well.

If they're going to panic might as well go all the way, shut down all modes of transportation, all banking & financial institutions, all schools k-12, com college, Universities.

You watch martial law will be declared soon in some state.

Let's continue with being scared out of this world.

Its nice to see that at least a few people are smart enough to see what they actually means.

economically is terrible for this kind of stuff to happen. Okay some people hate "sports balls" players because they are jealous but maybe take a few minutes to remember these organization have a lot of people that work for them that are now probably going without a pay check. Not to mention what it does to the local economy because no sporting events means no hotel rooms booked, no restaurants ate at etc. etc.

Exactly. This goes way beyond simply not liking basketball. I do not want to see Americans not being able to pay their bills/ lose their jobs.

We're going to be dealing for the fallout for years. Pizza places, bars, uber drivers all make money off the games, even if you're not directly tied to the NBA, they move a lot of money around for a lot of independent small businesses.
