Born in 1973. Listened to the music and skateboarded but never dressed like that. Still listen to lots of punk music.

Travis Bickle mohawk, safety-pin piercings.

Shaved it all off because military, but I got away with a mohawk for two weeks once.

I always thought it was too much of an affectations, same as with hair bands and metal heads.

Even then I knew that tribalism is the death of society.

Yes dear, that's nice. Of course you're unique and special, just like everyone else.

Damn, this is awesome!!

With the flannel shit I worked with pretty much most of the
grunge shit back before it became the big thing. Metal!!

Before Nirvana, I was at parties with Metal Church, Queensryche,
TKO, Q5, Forced Entry, Sanctuary, Culprit,Heir Apparent, Fifth Angel,
The Accüsed, Bitter End, Coven, Forced Entry and R.I.P..

And then the, Green River, Skin Yard, Screaming Trees, Soundgarden,
Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Mudhoney, Malfunkshun,  the death of Andrew Wood
from Mother Love Bone to Pearl scam. Melvins, Rail, etc....

Loved the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia/Bremerton shit for a 80's!!

Punk shows for a a guy that had to wear a tie at work and show up at a
GBH show was incredible!! No one gave a shit!! Slammed in the pit and
had fun!!

Now, I have two bad knees and am lucky to get around without too much
pain!!  But I still correspond with a few people that are at a revivale or living
a past that was fun and still got their band doing shows at this time! Good for
them.

I remember the first time that I pierced my ear back in 82.   I got some looks walking down the hall at school.   Did the punk thing for years.   Still listen to a lot of the music.   Was in a few bands back in the day in Denver.   Played at most of the places here.

And know most of the folks featured in this book.

May or may not have my name in the book as well.   OPSEC and all that.

None of those.

I was guilty of having a mullet type hair style, permed in the back, and wearing parachute pants.

My boys are 14 & 15, I shamefully admitted to them that when I was their age (1981/82) I had a little Honda moped that I rode my friend on the back. Two guys on a moped. My son said that sounds gay.

I graduated HS in 1986 and had none of that crap, not even a mullet. I made fun of my brother (4 years younger) when he got an earring. I asked him if he had a tampon to go with it.

OTH, I had a bitchin' 80s mustache.
