Order 483, 12 remain.

$100 is the most I’ve spent on a raffle in a long time… but then again, most raffles aren’t giving away a fifty cal!

Good luck to everyone!

Fingers crossed, purchased 2 with only 8 left when I started payment. Recieved confirmation email for 2 tickets.  Went back to web page and sold out...

Good luck to all.

Who pays taxes on raffles?  Legit question, didn’t realize that was a thing for some people.

The raffle organizer sends the IRS a Form W-2G and you get one too. It is taxed as income at the fair market value stated on the W-2G.

Not always. Sometimes the W-2G fails to get filled out.

Do they have the gun in hand?  Because I've been trying to get one for a charity banquet and Barrett is out like 3-5 years on these rifles.  You can't currently buy one.

Are you looking to get one donated or buy one? There seem to be plenty in stock for sale at various vendors online.

I suddenly have a “the game is rigged feeling”. Two days ago there were 120 or so tickets unsold and in 48 hrs all sold after weeks of stalled sales. Screams of a fixed raffle. Hope not but if the money goes to a good cause, well I’m good.

I was in for a couple #291 but I have no clue how to even begin to verify my numbers or legitimacy of the raffle.

I hope for the best.

I thought it was more of a "sell physical tickets locally", then with leftovers coming up to drawing date, send an email out advertising.

More often the raffle organizer just pays it to avoid a bad look. 33.3%.

There were just over 100 when this thread got bumped and quite a few went to people here. What about it feels rigged? The raffles I've been around always have a push at the end.

800 is too many. I think a decent raffle should be 1/2 that. 400 at $50.

@Actiondiver

Can you post a edit in your first/original post the winners  first name, town and state?

I and others here are not on Facebook to watch the drawing. I also do not recall a drawing time, only a date.

I entered my cell in the required info, but not in the notes part.

They used to be about 4700 now most I seen are listed at about 12-13k.  I think most raffles not local sell a hell of a lot more tickets.  Though the most I seen was 20 bucks.

Cheapest I have seen them was $6500-$6800 or so. Never seen them for $4700. What year was that?

You both could have simply stayed out of the thread yet here you are.

Some of us ticket buyers already have a Barrett. It's not the point of winning it's helping to raise money for a great cause.

Yep. At the end of the day, it’s a way to directly benefit a great cause. If I get to make some loud noises and large holes in distant objects as a result, bonus.

Pretty sure my dealer cost in 02 was more than that but it’s been a while. They’ve been over $6k for 15 years. The ones that are $12k are almost always M107’s not 82A1’s.
