Cheers is great, but it's not a family show.
I just binge watched Home Improvement and it's pretty good. A little heavy on the feminism but way better than anything in the woke era. |

I view “family sitcom” as one that is both about family and safe to watch with the family.
I find it difficult to find a sitcom appropriate to watch with my wife and two young boys. One that is entertaining, while still promoting solid family values, and doesn’t make the father-figure the butt of all jokes. Married with Children is hilarious, but not appropriate for pre-teen kids. Between Al Bundy, Homer Simpson, and Ray Romano, the father has become the Court Jester of “family” entertainment. My list would be: Family Ties Growing Pains Cosby Show Wonder Years (not really a fan, but safe) Home Improvement Young Sheldon Anyone else remember some “family safe” sitcoms that don’t denigrate the Dad, or promote family disfunction every 2 minutes? |

Quoted: I went back and forth on that. Does family sitcom mean a show the family can watch or a show about a family. View Quote You're the one who created the fucking thread, you decide. I thought you were talking about shows with a family which is why I put down "F is for Family". It stars Bill Burr so it's not exactly family-friendly. |

Married......with Children
Step by Step Family Matters Honorable mention - Modern Family. Wife and I recently started watching that show as background noise and it is actually really well done. |

GD: My kids and I aren't going to watch any woke shows that belittle and indoctrinate to hate white men.
Also GD: Hey that show that made the white male figure look like an inept stupid bafoon was great! |

Hard pass on all that shit. Can’t stand TV programs with laugh tracks. Ever listen closely to a laugh track on TV?

Great writing and physical comedy, super sexy Gloria, Al from Married with Children is married to her. And overall wholesome, family vibes. The show is long running so you also see all of the kids grow up into young adulthood. |

The Carol Burnett Show was a great show. Strange that viewers didn't have to have "women power" jammed down their throat in order to like the show. She was a great physical comedian that earned her fame through genuine entertainment. |

Quoted: Married With Children was the only sit-com I ever found consistently funny. I suppose The Simpsons is the best of the poll choices. View Quote This. The Simpsons started to suck, IMO, at the turn of the century. Quoted: Update: Although Married With Children was a great sitcom series it is to vulgar, crass for a family to watch together.
