Is moa even in business? Their site is so out of date it has a notice from 7/10/2023 that you cannot order on their site, and the landing page talks about covid shutdowns.

Pretty sketchy for a business to have a web store down almost a year. Only taking orders via email, text and discord 😆

Local steel supplier.
Paid $800 for a 4'x8' sheet of 1/2" AR500 and ended up with thousands of dollars worth of targets. Price included the plasma cutter time. I made a 2D CAD file and they made the path. Filled the pack of my truck with targets and haven't even managed to put them all up yet. |

Have a hookup for steel and cutting. |

Originally Posted By bluedog82: I really like my Shooting Targets7 targets. Free shipping over $49. View Quote Yep, ShootingTargets7.com is good stuff. They think their targets through, and have some bargain bin closeouts from time to time that makes it a great deal. Beefy acorn bolts, their arm system is better than chains, and the steel hangs at a little angle to avoid splashback. I use theirs for a quick zero confirmation for thermal sighted rifles downrange from the deerblind. As far as stands, if you're doing a long-term setup, just get some EMT conduit for $10 at Home Depot and make it semi-permanent. But if you're mobile, I always end up grabbing the LAST STAND system. Lightweight, easy to pack and set up. |

I'm sure the others mentioned here are great, but I've gotten great pricing and quality from this guy on eBay. If you buy two items you get a nice discount. I have used his products for about 4 years now and have a whole bunch of different sizes. They have all worked well for me.

I'll call a local steel supplier that does plasma cutting and see if that's in line with your cost. |

I'm away has basically been mothballed during that time, but I'm still moving a fair amount of steel. I'm planning to take a couple weeks off this summer to do inventory and sit down with my it guy to build a new website. This one is better than a decade old, and the IT guy that I had before has disappeared. The good news is, as difficult as I am to get a hold of, and to keep on task, I'm fairly decent at shipping steel, and eventually invoicing, and every now and then actually collecting payment for what I've shipped out. |

Are you guys having them water-cut or plasma cut?
Does plasma cutting ruin the AR500 heat treat near the cuts? |

View Quote There are much heavier users out there than me but I wouldn't pay the premium, having had products sold to me as plasma, laser, and water jet cut. If there is any tendency for steel to get beat up more on edges, I can't really tell. If you shoot a fuckton of high velocity rifle up close maybe it would be worth the premium... maybe... but I could never tell any difference. |

My club did this and learned the hard way you must make sure it's not Chinese ar500. It may as well have been mild steel. When we replaced it with American we were really happy. |

For savages. |

I did the math on it years ago with a guy at work. We could buy the metal but no cnc plasma on site. You end up with a ton of targets. Pm me tomorrow and ill show you the hangers we made for a 2x4 instead of buying them.. |

Local steel suppliers. Your friends that bought steel body armor then regretted it and don’t use them are a good source of cheap steel too.

I'm currently pricing stuff for our clubs new action bay. MGM is pricey but an industry standard so they're always worth a look. I'll 2nd or 3rd shootingtargets7, we have their steel challenge setup we've been using since 21' and I'm building out some 5/8 rifle targets of theirs currently. I sent an email to gunfighter targets after seeing their flippers that looked nice and the owner called me a little while later. Super nice guy, I'm looking forward to trying some of their stuff. He said he just hired a new webmaster and they'll be adding a lot of new stuff soon. The pricing is already pretty good when you consider it includes shipping.
