Long article on Omar that brought to light a lot of information I didn't know about her.
Summary - Her father was a Colonel in the Somalian government (communist) before it collapsed. The US had supported said government and aided in her family's resettlement. Most of her stories about being a refugee and being at the worst camps are largely made up and part of her family's image reconstruction to appeal to US voters. Her Islamic faith is mostly for show in order to garner votes from her constituents and most of her life is a psyop and was supported by the IC since her father was part of the former government. |

I seem to remember a story she took 'Ohmar' as the family name when she lived in London. Elmi or something like that is her real family name. So, she possibly lied about that, with marrying her brother, engaging in polygamous marriages, etc. Supposedly, there is no expiration date on falsifying your immigration status to get in and become a citizen... |
